i don't have any experience with Chryslers in terms of reliability, and google has mixed reports... anyone know anything about that?

The LX platform has been pretty solid in terms of reliability. The biggest concern I know of was trans shifts which were fixed down the road and then brake noise due to original pad choices.

Probably the best Chrysler you can buy from a reliability/resale standpoint.
