BTTTalso, there will be NO opening act at the Raleigh shows. This is actually better. Their sets are so much deeper when it's just them. Should be some great shows.[Edited on January 5, 2010 at 5:23 PM. Reason : add]

holy fuck, Saturday's show was amazing. They closed the encore with "Keep on Rockin' in the Free World" and the crowd went ape shit. Also, they did the best version of "Steve McQueen" I have ever heard. I think its originally off their Gangstabilly album which was made god knows when--before they made it big, so the sound quality sucked. But man they really tear it up live. This is the second time I've seen them live and this time was far superior to when I saw them at Cat's Cradle (last year maybe?). I think the difference is they are just kicking off this tour, but when I saw them last it was like the third from last show. My wife actually bought us tickets as a V-day gift. She's the fuckin' best. PS* The new shit they played sounds really. Can't wait until the next album comes out.[Edited on February 14, 2010 at 11:52 PM. Reason : w00t!]

tried to go last night. show was sold out.
2/15/2010 12:49:13 AM
got surprised with tickets while at dinner saturday nightdrank way too much, enjoyed the show quite much.quite much indeed.

Saturday's show did indeed rock. As was said above, this version of Steve Mcqueen blew out the one in Charlotte last year. Zip City and Sands of Iwo Jima were pleasent suprises. Cooley was in excellent form and the song Birthday Boy may already be my favorite from the new album. And sticking World of Hurt into the encore was a great choice, something i would have never thought of considering how subdued the album version is, but live they backed it with great solos to really bring it out. Awesome weekend.

i was at the Fri night show but unfortunately missed the Sat night show which sounds like it was the better one... Anyway, just saw this artist's den video posted on Hulu -DBT's w/ Booker T. It is definitely a lot different than their usual stuff but awesome to see how well they collaborate with other artists/genres - http://www.hulu.com/watch/128220/live-from-the-artists-den-booker-t-and-the-drive-by-truckers-with-bettye-lavette

DBT on Letterman tonight.
3/12/2010 1:06:57 PM
it was a pretty rough performance on Letterman. They played This Fucking Job and looked like Zombies. I know it's not the kind of thing they enjoy doing and it won't put off diehard fans. new album TOMORROW
3/15/2010 12:16:16 PM
that's what I love about Letterman. he brings on bands that Leno never would....and he's had the Crowes on like 10 times
3/15/2010 12:48:38 PM
in a couple weeks will be seeing dbt again, with lucero and langhorn slim supporting.even though they tour constantly, it's interesting to me that it'll be the 5th lucero show i've been to in the last twelve months.
3/15/2010 12:54:13 PM

3/15/2010 1:49:48 PM
