What are you talking about? Those Accel spark plug wires are like forty five dollar bucks at Autozone and they always bring the speed.

I like the gross use of electrical tape on the alternator wiring and something else (bottom right hand corner of the pic.) And the power wire running through the weather stripping at the cowl is classy too.

lol, j/k...I've done far far worse. I think most garage regulars have.

Just took it. It's getting there... I've cleaned up the engine bay a little here and there. I need to go back and polish those valve covers and go ahead and do away with the pop up headlights and install some HIDs...

actually, wouldn't it be Krauted?

But no seriously. I've got the whole "can't see shit" at night with these underpowered 45w or so headlights... HIDs are a necessity.

I'd instead get some european Bosch buckets, with a bit higher wattage bulbs, and wire them directly to the alternator with relays. The lighting improvement is quite dramatic, and you won't blind anyone. It has the side benefit of not being ricer.

only thing that's really changed is the air filter. i measured out the clearance I had and installed one significantly bigger.

It is an 88. There are many differences between the 93+ and the 87-91 turbo models:

There's a lot less room in a 93+ engine bay
the intake manifold is shaped differently (longer runners, smaller plenum)
the coilpacks are in a different place (under the manifold)
the radiator is raked forward instead of upright
the belt system and accessories are different (serpentine belts)
the IACV is mounted on the back of the plenum instead of on the runners
the crank position sensor is mounted to the pulley instead of installed like a distributor
the throttlebody is larger and the throttle/cruise cables route differently
the intercooler is behind the radiator instead of on top of the manifold with a scoop (FMIC here though)

and the list goes on... it's a bunch of little things
