was your xbox modded if so lolif not...send it off to Microsoft and have them fix it/replace it.

na it wasn't modded, but I have had to send it back before, also the controllers don't hold a charge, and it sounds kinda busted when I turn it on, pretty much a piece of crap

this seems thread worthy

did you go all office space on it BEFORE? also, batteries do need replacing after several years just like any device (rechargeable)and 'sounds busted' doesn't really help much.

It really does suck that the reliability is so bad on xbox360.what's great is that they are $99 dollars now.

checked around on the internet and apparently this is a common problem, install the latest update and get the red ring of death. Good work Microsoft.

Keep 1 XBox360 for playing XBoxLive.Keep 1 XBox360 for modding / hacking / etc. purposes + never connect it.Expensive, but, you like XBoxLive that much, worth it.[Edited on November 12, 2009 at 8:04 PM. Reason : .]

^^Because a Sony update has never killed a system (or a disk drive)...[no fanboy, have all 3 systems]

the wii updates brick the systems too.good to keep a backup of the system. so you can bounce back.

I left a Baulders Gate disk in my 360 without upgrading the firmware. Obviously I just got the ban notice.I have another 360 that is RROD (fixed it, worked for a month and same shit). Is there any way to frankenstein these things together to get 1 working console?
