Good point... eleusis might want to review Master_Yoda's claim to fame in this thread where he admits to getting two professors removed and asking advice on how to dispatch a third. I'm sure he's just the kind of team player you guys are looking for. He can do absolutely no wrong!
11/8/2009 12:35:15 PM
Master_Yoda recomended someone else for consideration - not himself.

it would be nice if he was trying to help find a new job for one of the professors that he got fired

I'd love to work more on substations

Joe, what department are you working in now? Are you still with Georgia Power?I wish I knew a little bit more about substation relaying and SCADA sometimes, but I prefer the one-off challenges of working on distribution systems more.
11/8/2009 2:03:43 PM
I work in R&D for Southern Company, developing new protective relaying and coordination technologies a la "smart grid"Dealing with SCADA can suck, especially when you're doing what I'm doing with it ]
11/8/2009 10:09:01 PM
has southern company been installing additional regulator banks all over their system so they can lower the voltage at the substation? Duke and Progress are doing that all over NC, and I'd be interested to see if anyone else is doing it or if it's just an NC thing.
11/8/2009 10:23:26 PM
Additional regulator banks? No, not that I know of.
