System:Windows XP Home Edition v2002 SP3P4 2.80 GHz 2GB of Ram2 days ago that when I went to turn on my computer, I got this screen:Now, I don't know what this is all about. This computer has never had a floppy A: drive. I haven't touched the bios in about 3 years. So why all of a sudden the boot error? I ran a virus scanner and nothing came up. The system is 6 years old and it's been about 2 or 3 years since that last reformat. How can I make this error go away? I tried rearranging the device boot list in the bios, however, this changed nothing. Thanks.

probably trying to boot to your external drive. unplug it, reboot, see if you get the error

I'll give it a shot later on. I've had the external HD for almost a year now with no previous issue... Hm.
