Here's the deal. A previous owner of my Rx-7 replaced a broken driver side door lock cylinder with a door lock cylinder from a parts car. I have two keys to the vehicle: one to open the driver door and another to start the car and open everything else. This is annoying and ghetto.

I have the door handle out of the vehicle right now. I need someone to re-cut/whatever the cylinder to make it match the original lock pattern, then reinstall the lock cylinder into a brand new door handle I bought so I can just drop the whole assembly in. I tried calling some 24/7 company I looked up randomly and the guy barely spoke English and did not understand the situation. He thought I wanted him to do something to the passenger door. So this locksmith needs to be:

1. native English speaker
2. Competent
3. priced fairly
4. understanding that this is for a restoration project. I'm not locked out of my car.

Dealer might be able to help you on this, but scratch no 3.

Im betting youll probably have to just replace all the locks. Its kinda hard to match a lock otherwise.

Already checked on this. They could give me a completely new door lock cylinder but they could not re key it to match the rest of the car, even if I gave them the VIN number.

I just dropped everything off at Marshall's. They said it will be ready tomorrow. Thanks for the input everyone.
