Realistically, if you could get this out to the masses and get them to participate, you could get over 100,000,000 signaturesAnd the NCAA would still keep their same shitty systemomg we dont want the kids to miss that many classesok thats why you have them playing road games on the other side of the country on week nights
10/23/2009 7:01:28 PM
because a petition website has ever done anything
10/23/2009 7:05:14 PM
worst thread ever

Obama mentioned during his campaign that he was for a playoff...he's about the only person with enough power to make it happen thoughI remember a few years ago, the MLB Extra Innings package, or whatever the baseball package is called where you can get like 2,000+ games, was limited to DirectTV. John Kerry somehow got it available to cable subscribers, and did it with the quickness. Big ups to him for that. But yeah, petition website ain't gonna do shit
10/23/2009 7:07:32 PM
petitions are like assholes
10/23/2009 7:09:24 PM
meaningless as long as people are buying tickets to the bowl games and watching on tv.kinda empty to sign a petition, then buy tickets to the BCS game
10/23/2009 7:12:37 PM
i mean people will still go to the games, but there would be more games to go to and more money.. i dont see why people who have the power are so fucking stupid...
10/23/2009 7:22:14 PM
I am tired of screaming and not being heardNobody has heard a college football fan whine about a playoff before?

10/23/2009 10:34:39 PM
all we need is florida, bama and texas to lose and the whole "nobody buy bcs tickets" thing will actually come true since cincy and iowa will play for all the marbles.
10/23/2009 10:35:13 PM
Even if they do implement a playoff, it'll come with retarded BCS-ish stipulations:8 guaranteed playoff teams:1 from each of the BCS conferences (6)1 from Non-BCS-ish conferences (Congress) (1)1 from an HBC (1)And a team like USC, which should lay about 84 on Winston-Salem State, will be criticized relentlessly by the media if they score over 28 on the HBC for "running up the score and continuing to oppress the black athlete" even though 80% of USC's roster will be "the black athlete."

Sweet, an internet petition!
10/23/2009 10:58:33 PM
up to 82 sigs now
10/24/2009 10:04:58 AM
I don't get why they don't just do most of the bowl games but make a playoff for the top 8 teams. I mean, they'd make more money that way and people would be happy.
10/24/2009 10:52:55 AM
Ha, you know ABC/ESPN/Disney isn't going to let it happen, not when it might give them a final between Iowa and Boise State (nevermind that CBS does quite well on the Final Four).

get the government out of sports. I can't stand this fucking government intrusion. They shouldn't be wasting time and money, nor should they be meddling in the affairs of college or pro sports. fuck the government and tell them to GTFO.
10/24/2009 2:01:06 PM
There is no need for this. The NCAA, press, coaches, and AD's already know the fans would like this.
10/24/2009 2:07:46 PM
I would welcome gov't intrusion if it saves me from a shitty national championship game.
