I've got a 1997 Honda Accord and the check engine light just came on. OBD says it is "Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor High Input". Can anybody tell me what this means?

I did, I was filling up with somebody else's credit card so I wanted to get as much as possible. So what happened? And what can I do?

Go to auto zone or advance and ask them to reset it. If it comes back on after being reset, then report back.[Edited on October 16, 2009 at 11:35 PM. Reason : ]

I had them check it today, that is where I got the code, but the guy told me not to bother with reseting when I asked him to because it would just come back on. I'll take it back tomorrow though and have them reset it, regardless of what they say.

if they won't reset it, PM me. I have a scanner and live off Gorman.

you cant pull a fuse for 10 seconds?

^Didn't know you could do that until now, that is a pretty nifty little trick. Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out which fuse it was so I just unhooked the battery for about a minute, that worked. The light is staying off now though, I drove it around a few miles today. But while we are cleaning my dash, I've got an ABS light that stays on, I'm almost positive it is a sensor. How hard of a fix is that?

What kind of car is it? ABS lights come on pretty often after a battery disconnect/dead battery. Make sure the battery connections are tight. If everything is ok, the ABS light may reset itself after a certain number of miles, or you may have to have it reset. I wouldn't recommend disconnecting the battery in the future.

Its a 97 Accord. The ABS light has been on since I've had it (a few months now, about 6000 miles), the mechanic I took it to before I bought it said it was just a sensor.
