1. Kyle Orton2. Brett Favre (people thought he'd be good but since the start of the season the circus has died and only the gameplayer has remained and I think he's surprised everyone)

Orton is going to wake up soon and realize he's Kyle Orton.
10/14/2009 7:54:35 PM
I'd say the most underrated would have to go to an O linemen .. so just pick a real good O linemen. Brett Favre and Kyle Orton get way too much face time in the media to be truely "underrated"

Jerricho Cotchery

Actually Favre is number 1696.

26-12 actually
10/14/2009 9:22:36 PM
trust the ORTON'S FISHERMAANN
10/14/2009 9:26:52 PM
Kyle Orton is the new Matt Cassel. All you have to do in McDaniel's offense that he is using now is complete relatively short passes. Same thing he did with Cassel last year when Brady got hurt.Just for the sake of starting an argument I will say Jabar Gaffney.
10/14/2009 9:34:34 PM
^agreedExcept for the part about Gaffney. My vote would go to EJ Henderson.
10/14/2009 9:48:11 PM
Jason Candle
10/14/2009 9:57:27 PM
Jake Delhomme.
10/14/2009 10:15:17 PM
Flacco
10/14/2009 10:53:25 PM
Andre Caldwell, John Carlson, Tim Hightower, and if you want a QB I'm actually going to mention Drew Brees - he's not getting enough mention in the "best QB" discussion.
10/14/2009 11:01:01 PM
because hes not the best -- he just sometimes puts up gaudy fantasy numbers. its a joke you mention him anyway
10/14/2009 11:14:50 PM
^yeh, any loser off the street can throw for 5,000 yards in a season (see: Dan Marino's talentless ass)
10/14/2009 11:24:11 PM
Brandon JacobsHis numbers may be down, but people don't realize what a contribution he is to this team. The reason why three incredibly young receivers are having such great games is because opposing teams are so afraid of Jacobs.

albert haynesworthatleast for me being a titans fan. he leaves and they go to shit
10/15/2009 9:48:16 AM
the thing about orton is that he barely beat two so-so to good teams (dallas and NE) in impressive last minute drives (thank you brandon marshall) and beat the shit out of two BAD teams (oakland and cleveland). the cinci game was pure luck and cinci has emerged as a very talented teamrealistically orton should be 3-2; denver fans should be feeling extremely lucky
10/15/2009 9:50:13 AM
definitely Marion Barber...and i'm an Eagles fan.
10/15/2009 10:24:56 AM
Kyle orton!!!! I know everything will catch up to the broncos eventually but they really are a decent team. I didnt think they would win 5 games all season. He came with 2 first round picks (keep in mind orton himself was a 4th rounder) and has completed enough 5 yard slants to win 5 games. To be honest it is hard to be an NFL QB and be underrated. How about jamarcus russell! I didnt think he could be THAT bad.
10/15/2009 10:45:27 AM
Flacco. If he was on a passing team he would def. be top 10. He's starting to show that he can be a threat of his own in the air, and he doesn't have any good targets...
10/15/2009 1:05:29 PM
THE DENVER BRONCOS
10/15/2009 1:47:07 PM
Derrick Mason? Mark Clayton
10/15/2009 1:49:19 PM
braylon edwards
10/15/2009 1:50:16 PM
Andre Johnson used to be but he has gotten more respect coming into this year.
10/15/2009 2:00:12 PM
According to NFL players, it's Wes Welker.
10/15/2009 2:23:26 PM
thomas davis!
10/15/2009 3:06:31 PM
10/15/2009 3:35:50 PM
Jake Delhomme
10/15/2009 3:44:38 PM
Yea I could agree with Jake Delhomme. Give that man a half decent offensive line, and he is a superstar, granted this is true for most quarterbacks...
10/15/2009 3:49:51 PM
aha you have to be kidding
10/15/2009 3:55:30 PM
haha more like give him a decent offensive line and a decent 2nd and 3rd receiver and he becomes a top 10-15 QB in the nfl
10/15/2009 4:02:15 PM
If you watch the games, you always see him rushing to get a pass off, his offensive line is awful this year, they have no blocking to get the run going, and can't give him enough time to make a good throw. I am not a Panthers fan, but when he is on his game, he can be effective...
10/15/2009 4:03:09 PM
If you put Jemarcus Russell behind the NYG offensive line, he could put together a .500+ season.
10/15/2009 4:04:10 PM
Jamarcus Russell might be the worst NFL QB of all time
10/15/2009 4:12:36 PM
10/15/2009 4:13:44 PM
10/15/2009 4:53:51 PM
10/15/2009 6:03:18 PM
I agree with whoever it was that said Benson
10/15/2009 6:14:51 PM
Rookies: Kenny Britt or Percy HarvinDefense: Mike Jenkins or Jared AllenOffense: Benson and Flacco are good candidates but its definitely gotta be Big Ben.
10/15/2009 6:18:41 PM
Despite already winning 2 Super Bowls, Big Ben is kind of underratedBut since this is about 2009, I don't think he's done enough to warrant it...3-2 record, although who knows where they'd be with a healthy Troy P
10/15/2009 6:41:17 PM
The players say:1. Wes Welker (6.9%)2. Drew Bress (5.3%)3. Darren Sproles (2.8%)4. Leon Washington (2.8%)5. Andre Johnson (2.8%)6. Steve Slaton (2.4%)7. Maurice Jones-Drew (2%)8. Brian Westbrook (2%)9. Philip Rivers (1.6%)10. Steve Smith (1.6%)11. Anquan Boldin (1.6%)12. Reggie Wayne (1.6%)Most overrated:1. Brett Favre (13%)2. Tony Romo (10%)3. Terrell Owens (8%)4. Eli Manning (7%)5. Ben Roethlisberger (5%)
10/15/2009 6:43:13 PM
^I agree with all of that underrated list, although I think guys like Andre and Brees are getting their dueAs for the overrated list, I agree 10000% about Romo but I think T.O. is just getting old, and I can't really fault the other 3 QBs. Favre looks great this year, Big Ben has 2 rings, and Eli has one, as well as a 5-0 record
10/15/2009 6:49:37 PM
You can still be a winning player and be overrated. I'm not so sure Big Ben is overrated, but Eli is.
