So i got tired of an old Belkin needing to be reset every single night and got a new Linksys WRT120N. I have port forwarding set up so I can use uTorrent and the downloads are blazing but the uploads are not working at all. ive DLed 26GB, ive uploaded 9MB. this is over 2 days so its been running.ive checked that its the right port, its the right ip in the client table, not sure what else I could try

Double-check the port forwarding and IP addresses for everything. Also, make sure the forward is enabled with the check boxes I'm guessing are there. What does http://www.utorrent.com/testport show when you put in the port you're using?]

it shows that the port is correctly open and accepting connectionsi literally just unplugged the old router and then put in the new one using the same settings.should i be doing just udp or tcp or both? I think the old one didnt have the option to do both but thats the default on the new one.

ok so i tried changing the port and now its saying nothing is openthen i just tried setting that computer to DMZ and even though it sounds like that should open every single port on the computer im still not getting any ports openhalp

ok weird questioni am a total noob obviouslyi downloaded a port checking program, ANYTIME i start up uTorrent and open a new port, i get a flood of new connections from weird addresses from the likes of nomadic.nscu.edu, nextgentel.com, cm.sunflower.com, ca.comcast.net, and columbia.res.rr.com with the value "DeleteTCB"i close uTorrent and they go away again???

seeds and/or peers.
10/14/2009 12:01:54 PM
makes sense, i guess i just happen to be seeding/leeching from someone near state as well from a private tracker

I mean you could stop or remove all your torrents and open it again to know for sure.

eh i left it running for 10 min and finally got something going at 8.9kB but thats as high as it gets, i never really let it get above 20 before so i can deal with that for now

28GB is a LOT of illegal downloading. It's possible that whatever you're torrenting is already well seeded with low peers.

yeah, gotta get in on those 0sec torrents. Even better if you have usenet access and can grab them from another source to seed with.

Firewall on the OS been updated? If you are using a router, the port checker will only verify up to the router, not the OS itself.
