This won the audience award at Full Frame this year. I didn't get to see it, but everybody who did seemed to be pretty moved by it.

I saw this a few weeks ago. Very powerful and moving film. The folks in this film are incredibly inspiring. The older folks' lives made me pretty sad, since they're lonely or sick or struggling financially, etc. However what they're doing brings so much meaning both their own lives and those of the troops. My sister saw it in Brooklyn and said they had a Q&A afterward with the producer, director, and 2 of the film's subjects - Jerry and Bill. I wish I could have been there for that. I am so glad the film is getting as much exposure as it is. For folks in Durham/Triangle area - it will be at Duke's Center for Documentary Studies on Oct. 30:http://www.thewaywegetbymovie.com/southern-circuit-tour-9/2009-10-30check it out if you can!
