i kind of want to see it but i know for sure i won't until my roommate gets it on netflix next year.

It was pretty good if you can suspend belief for a few hoursOne of those movies that's better when you're seeing it than when you start to think about the logistics of it on the way homeBut an enjoyable 2 hours, nonetheless

^^ not that i have a problem with doing that, but it seems like every movie that comes out these days has that requirement
10/19/2009 9:55:57 AM
Gerard Butler should have "won".
10/19/2009 2:30:34 PM
That's what I was hoping for

Is this the one where he's in a video game teaching Gray's Anatomy how to be sexy?

^^^ thanks for the spoiler warning, preciate it

saw it last night. It was better than I expected, the ending was a little flat but you can't really get the ending you want in these kinds of movies. But all in all a decent movie. One scene in particular sent the guy 3 seats down jumping about 4' out of his chair.

a certain phone call scene, I'm presuming
10/22/2009 8:52:23 AM
you presume correct
10/22/2009 8:58:33 AM
I was half expecting that one, but it still kinda got me.
10/22/2009 9:26:46 AM
quite a bit more gory than i was expecting, but i thought it was pretty good. i guess we were supposed to pull for jaime foxx, but fuck that guy
10/24/2009 9:32:23 PM
I thought this was pretty entertaining. The phone call scene got me too even though I was expecting something.
10/24/2009 10:19:03 PM
if we were supposed to pull for Jamie Foxx then they completely missed on conveying that. I spent the entire movie wanting him to take one in the neck.

if you leave your brain at the door, its actually a fun movie
10/27/2009 12:19:38 AM
a good movie, but it should have ended when butler pressed send.
11/16/2009 8:14:25 PM
the whole city is terrified of him and they dont have 24/7 surveillance of his cell?
11/16/2009 8:19:43 PM
hes whole plan was based on them following procedure. they figured this out half way through the movie, and yet still followed procedure.WTF?
11/18/2009 11:24:02 AM
I enjoyed this movie. But again, it's hard to tell who you should pull for. No way you pull for the protagonist lawyer, he's a slimy motherfucker. But then the guy you want to pull for is killing everyone. Tough call

This movie was just too fucking ridiculous. I'm all for "checking your brain at the door" and just enjoying a movie...but this pushed it. I might have been able to accept it even with the ridiculousness, but the fallacies they presented with the legal system were just way too out there. The sad thing is that the majority of the public will look at this and say, "yeah...our legal system really is fucked up." Which, in reality, of course it is....but it's not even close to what this movie presents it to be.Sucks, because I was actually excited before seeing this movie.

i think the best part of the movie was his initial appearance in court when he totally let that judge have itthat and of course the cell phone scene

Saw it last night.Really entertaining and enjoyable. Some of the stuff was a little over the top, and somewhat impossible, but still made it an entertaining as hell. Once its over and you think back on it some of the situations will annoy you, but as long as you dont look too deep in the movie and just sit back for the ride its ok.The main issue I had was the way that he kidnapped the guy that killed his wife.Perhaps I missed something, but kidnapping a cop so you could steal his car, then having the guy escape a police chase so you could snag him just seems unnecessary.Gerrard Butlers character was obviously a badass. Why didn't he just kidnap the guy when he went out for food or something. Would have been a whole lot easier and less risky.
