We're a much better team than Wake. Skinner is a good quarterback, but he's extremely streaky. They severely lack playmakers, and their defense is still trying to replace two All Americans. Grobe is a great coach, but he's not working with much this year

That said, we've sucked ass at that stadium since I've been in school. I still think we win, but not as easy as we should.

I strongly doubt this. First off, Adams isn't as good as that guy -- he's a good back, but he's not as slippery as the Pitt guy. Second, our defense is going to come out with something to prove after missing all those tackles.

I hate to kill the buzz with that chart...

but when we continuously give our opponents such great field position to start with, it doesn't give them many yards to gain

our special teams against USC and Pitt were HORRIBLE, and that has a huge effect on the total yardage (especially when Pitt scored so many times after us giving them good field position)

for some reason it seems like we have always played bad there since i've watched us (We have lost at least the last 3 or 4 straight @WF right?) so I feel like even if we win its going to be a close game, and its our first road test this season...all that has me a little worried. I think we are a better team than WF right now, but that doesnt guarantee anything on the field. I'm going into it optimistic though:

Statistics are a coarse approximation of reality. In this case, the approximation is wrong. Everyone who actually uses their eyes and brains knows that we are nothing special on defense.

Anyone who actually watched the defense vs. Pitt knows that that chart means absolutely nothing. Even at the end of the game when our defense started locking down Pitt we still needed some luck to get out of trouble (Pitt receiver totally failing to get one foot down in bounds).

^^ you talking about that last series on 3rd down? pretty sure the guy dropped the ball regardless of the fact that he couldnt get a foot in bounds.

i can't argue that I didn't see some things that could be improved upon in our defense though for sure.
