Can a course fulfill two requirements? I would assume not but didn't know if this was possible.

If it's for elective classes then yes one class can fulfill 2 requirements, but you still need to have X number of elective hours (you get a free elective in that case). In any event, email/call/visit your advisor(s). Answering these type of questions is what you are paying them to do.

A course can only fill one requirement. For example, you took a course that can fulfill a general elective or a restricted elective. You can choose which of those requirements to apply the course towards, but you can only fulfill a single requirement with that course, not both at the same time. Thus, if you chose to fulfill the restricted elective, you would still have to take another course to fulfill the general elective.

it must vary then, i took a course that fulfilled both a lit requirement and foreign culture requirement. i'm also taking a course next semester that will double and satisfy a requirement for a second major.

i'm getting a minor in spanish and with the exception of 2 classes, I just picked classes off the humanities list to have it double count for those that are required for my engineering degree.
