My turn.For the past week or so I have been getting nauseated while working out (lifting to be specific). In addition to nausea my stomach feels like it's being constricted/squeezed.My workout, diet, schedule, etc haven't changed (besides changing them up to see if I felt better; which didn't work). I'm not pushing myself too hard at all - in fact, I'm barely pushing at all on some days due to this problem.My schedule:Eat sandwich + apple or yogurt, drink waterWork for two hoursGym for 1 hour, which includes 5 min stretch, 25 min cardio, 25 lifting, 5 min cool down, and water breaks every so often.Walk 15 minStomach pain/nausea begin shortly after lifting. I've tried waiting after cardio to see if it starts, but it didn't - seems to be related to lifting (potentially related to use core muscles more strenuously which in turn starts the problems...?)

Hiatal hernia? Hiatal hernias are when a portion of your stomach herniates through your diaphragm. These could be made worse by the increased intraabdominal pressure associated with lifting. Do you ever get the symptoms when you are trying to push out a massive shit or when you cough/sneeze really hard? This is just speculation, look up some more about it to see if it fits your story.

MJ - I've gone pretty light on the cardio before lifting, which didn't work, but I'll see about completely switching that up.evan - I do tend to sweat a good bit, rarely do I get lightheaded (hasn't happened during any of this though). This came on all of a sudden - one day last week the pain/nausea just started. Yes, I was doing the same routine before this. Will try eating that stuff. Hell, no reason to start another thread.HALP ME DR. TUB!Over laborday weekend I went down to hotlanta for DragonCon. I have super flat feet that make standing and walking for long periods of time rather painful, and of course, thats pretty much all I did for 4 days straight. Now, a good week and a half later, my big toes are still numb. No discoloration and I don't recall bashing both of them on something. They are just numb. Am I going to die?

Sounds like Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome. I've never heard of it before googling foot toe tunnel syndrome. I've had Cubital Tunnel Syndrome which like most of the x tunnel syndromes is when you put too much pressure on a nerve for too long and piss it off. They make drugs to speed up the healing process but you'll probably have to do little exercises and stay off your feet for a while to make it go away.[Edited on September 15, 2009 at 1:35 PM. I doubt it's a vasovagal episode - I have chronic vasovagal syncope, which is brought in my case by extreme stress or prolonged exercise (I can't keep my heartrate really high for long periods.) I get pain/nausea after I faint, never before. Instead of water breaks at the gym, try either 1/2 water, 1/2 gatorade or G2. The electrolytes might stave off some of the nausea and a little sugar can keep your blood sugar up.

Ben - me? no bleeding and not getting worseJennifer - I'll give that a shot1 - lol, I"m eating enough.Update: So yesterday I tried pushing harder during cardio (the elliptical is my cardio machine) and sure enough the problems started... It got to the point where my stomach felt so tight that I that I was gonna crap myself... so then I went and took care of that... if you know what I mean. and I don't think BM timing fits as I've done that pre-work out and the problems still occurred.

Look at the sugar content of your yogurt and mix-ins. Although this is traditionally a healthy snack, the wrong type can contain a ton of sugar, leading to problems with your sugar levels. Also, be aware that your peanut butter can contain hidden sugars, particularly if you eat reduced fat pb. Shoot for all-natural pb if you can.
