I have a cousin that is starting some online classes at CCCC in January and she needs a decent laptop to use. She has an extremely small budget, but I think for her situation and needs a netbook would suffice. Any recommendations? you may want to look at getting a nice used one off craigslist/ebay. That'll give him a headache all day long on that small screen. The performance isn't great either. There are some good deals out there if you look

a netbook would likely suffice power/performance-wise, but as mentioned, looking at a 10.1" screen all day long would become tedious and probably lead to eye strainif weight and size are a concern, see if you can find something on CL...for example:http://raleigh.craigslist.org/ele/1343771845.htmlhttp://raleigh.craigslist.org/sys/1363336968.htmlyou might be able to talk down some of the ~$400 ones if they've been on their for a while...in any case, used laptops are like used cars...one you open the box, their value drops significantly
