Paul, though no John Lennon was essential. Ringo probably could have been swapped and you'd have had basically the same band, but he did a good job.

Actually, they didn't write their songs together. And George Harrison wrote quite a bit as well. They didn't even record Abbey Road together in the same studio.
9/5/2009 11:11:35 AM
ok, you look up the song info and see whos credited for most of their music, Lennon/McCartney for most of them, they may have worked on some of them at different times, but they both played a part in most of the songwriting
9/5/2009 11:14:47 AM
I know they both put their names on it. But there's pretty much no chance that they both worked on all or even most of the songs, especially later in the band's life.
9/5/2009 11:17:28 AM
my favorite drumming from the beatles was actually done by paul. true story.

9/5/2009 11:39:20 AM
They both wrote an equal share of good music in my opinion and they sing together in many songs and my whole point is that

I can't wait to get The Beatles Rock Band. I just need to find a good deal on the software only, cause I ain't paying for instruments.
9/5/2009 5:31:53 PM
^^ I was wondering if someone would post that. GG for the CF reference.
9/5/2009 5:33:56 PM
HOW DID THEY MANAGE TO HAVE SUCH AWFUL GUITAR TONE? OTHER BANDS FROM THE SAME PERIOD SEEMED TO GET AWAY JUST FINEI'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.
9/5/2009 5:34:35 PM
9/5/2009 5:35:17 PM
This is a huge issue with the beatles for me. I mean i know they didn't have 64 track mixers, pro-tools and quad core 6ghz machines to record on, but compare their tone to zappa's in the mid to late 60s. I just don't get it. I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.
9/5/2009 5:43:09 PM
Zappa (and his whole band) were gearheads. The Beatles just plugged Rics into AC30s and rolled.
9/5/2009 5:48:05 PM
thats what troubles me even more. I've never heard an AC30 sound that badI'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.
9/5/2009 5:55:43 PM
I've heard plenty of shitty-sounding AC30s, especially from that era. They sound phenomenal if they're well-watched, but there's so much that can go wrong, and that's before they catch fire the first time.
9/5/2009 6:17:40 PM
i'm gonna stand up for ringo here.he's way better than many people give him credit for.
9/5/2009 6:25:05 PM
I wasn't dissing Ringo, BTW. I just thought that Family Guy clip is funny as hell.
