the blue turf was a nice gimmick to get attention, but if you want to be a respected program, play on GREEN grass or turf like everyone else. not only that, but blue uni's on blue turf is fucking hard on my eyes. you jackasses!

9/3/2009 10:42:16 PM
blue field is the HEAT
9/3/2009 10:44:01 PM
we need a red turf. so then, even if we suck everybody can say "go team with that neat red turf!"[Edited on September 3, 2009 at 10:50 PM. Reason : like they used to do for boise]
9/3/2009 10:50:40 PM
9/3/2009 11:23:46 PM
surely some NC State fan would know anything about what it takes to earn national respect in ANY context
9/3/2009 11:28:39 PM
^Wait for diving, wrestling, and bass fishing season
9/3/2009 11:30:32 PM
youre preachin to the wrong guy
9/3/2009 11:30:59 PM
^^ swimming maybe?and the blue field is really rather distracting[Edited on September 3, 2009 at 11:31 PM. Reason : ,]
9/3/2009 11:31:14 PM
say what you want, they are doin their thing on national televisionand we did not
9/3/2009 11:41:16 PM
we needed to block 4 punts like the TX game. then we would have wongo amato
9/3/2009 11:42:47 PM
correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't MOC still head coach when we beat Texas?
9/3/2009 11:54:38 PM
who careswe suck. dick.
9/3/2009 11:56:29 PM
or maybe it was Holtzor Sloan
9/3/2009 11:57:10 PM
Last USC game I went to at CF was in that fucking hurricane where we won 10-0fucking awful game too
9/3/2009 11:59:47 PM
that game was definitely Holtz
9/4/2009 12:00:35 AM
it was holtzhis first gamestill a miserable time.
9/4/2009 12:02:17 AM
9/4/2009 12:03:48 AM
IT IS A GIMMICK!!
9/4/2009 12:10:54 AM
YEAH, BUT THAT IS THE WAC CONFERENCE, NOTHING LIKE THE ACC
9/4/2009 12:12:25 AM
man Boise State has been impressive on defense... really fast
9/4/2009 12:13:12 AM
yeahhell, oregon makes nc state's performance tonight look like an offensive clinic
9/4/2009 12:14:54 AM
I guess technically this game is more of a dissapointment to viewers than ours, that's a plus.
9/4/2009 12:15:41 AM
^huh? No.
9/4/2009 12:16:26 AM
Huh? Yes. Everyone was expecting a big shootout on both sides. It's a one-sided, and therefore boring game.
9/4/2009 12:18:35 AM
This game is significantly better then our 7-3 classic.
9/4/2009 12:20:27 AM
Well it's more entertaining in a sense. But I'd argue more of a dissapointment since A) the national audience didn't really care about ours in the first place and B) everyone pretty much thought it would be a back and forth battle, but it's one-sided, and the game is out of reach for Oregon now. You gonna watch the rest of it? [Edited on September 4, 2009 at 12:22 AM. Reason : ...]
9/4/2009 12:22:11 AM
No. a) national audience cares about the first real football game of the year and b) this game is much better then our yawn of an early fumble to td game. boise is always fun to watch and our game was fucking painful. just because it isn't the shootout espn predicted doesn't mean our game is better. espn has been wrong before......whatever helps you sleep at night though.
9/4/2009 12:24:27 AM
^^^ no. The State game was one of the top 5 worst games I have ever seen
9/4/2009 12:24:35 AM
Don't think anyone predicted Oregon getting their first 1st down almost 40 minutes in .
9/4/2009 12:24:47 AM
yeah, its quite rediculous
9/4/2009 12:25:03 AM
Oh no no no. Don't get me wrong. I never said our game was better. Just technically less dissapointing to the national audience, who had no real expectations going in . This was the big game of the night despite it being on later, make no mistake. But it's a snoozefest unfortunately.Although Oregon is driving, so it might get interesting. Maybe.[Edited on September 4, 2009 at 12:26 AM. Reason : ...]
9/4/2009 12:25:47 AM
Again, whatever helps you sleep at night.
9/4/2009 12:26:39 AM
uh......there was NOTHING interesting about our game. they scored the winning touchdown in the first quarter off of a fumble where they received the ball inside the red zonehow could that possibly be interesting to an outsider?
9/4/2009 12:28:53 AM
shhh.. don't ruin his illusion.
9/4/2009 12:29:25 AM
Dude. All I'm saying is, pretend you're not an NCSU fan and you want to watch a good FB game. Of the two, which do you expect to be better? And of the two, which would you be more dissappointed in if it turned out to be pretty lame and one-sided? The national audience sees the State game sucking and says "not surprised". Oregon/Boise turns into a lame one-sided thumping and they say "oh wow, that sucks. Thought I was gonna get a good game".[Edited on September 4, 2009 at 12:32 AM. Reason : ...]
9/4/2009 12:31:46 AM
Although of course as I type the game actually is getting interesting.
9/4/2009 12:34:05 AM
Our game was painful to watch regardless of any expectationsThis game has..oh what is that thing they do in sports.. oh ya points.
9/4/2009 12:34:31 AM
Well that's true. Crazy that Oregon is doing so bad.
9/4/2009 12:35:14 AM
what the fuck was the Oregon QB doing?? oddest throwing motion ever
9/4/2009 12:35:34 AM
9/4/2009 12:37:51 AM
9/4/2009 12:39:02 AM
they do play well OOC, but when you only have 1 tough game every year, it's easy to break out all your gimmick plays when that opponent isn't likely to take you very seriously.
9/4/2009 12:42:44 AM
i'll keep this thread open for discussion of blue turf/boise state/whatever, but i've just opened the general thread for games discussion
9/4/2009 12:45:16 AM
True.Still think they'd beat the crap out of us any given year.
9/4/2009 12:45:45 AM
need to start beating the akrons and central floridas of the world when you play them once a season before claiming you could beat 10 of them in a year
9/4/2009 12:49:14 AM
