I've searched and didn't find anything on this particular topic. What are some good 1 BR apartments near the brier creek area? I particularly want the easy access to RTP and all the main highways (540/70/147). Everything in Brier Creek itself is pretty expensive, so I'm talking about places that are within 1-2 miles from the shopping center. Are there any cheaper alternatives (around $650/mo or less)? Looking for mostly personal reviews/experiences. My main concerns are noise and a 24-hr fitness room. Washer/dryer included would be great too. Thanks[Edited on September 1, 2009 at 2:26 PM. ^^ Check pm...I also live at Arringdon and may be looking to find someone to take over my lease in a couple months. No complaints with the complex...the price seems to be the best in the area!

I don't know if you've thought about this option, but apartments in Morrisville are pretty cheap. It's only about a 5/10 minute drive from Brier Creek and it's close to the majority of the things you want. http://www.apartmentguide.com/apartments/North-Carolina/Morrisville/The-Waterford/19595/$529 a month isn't bad.

If you have pets, Madison at Treybrooke hands down:http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/NC-Morrisville-Treybrooke-Apartments.htmlI have no idea what rates are today, but a year ago with concession, rent came out to be $639/month. It is NOT 1-2 miles from the shopping center, more like 5 miles, but, is easy access to highways. Little to no noise and does have 24-hour fitness room (albeit small). See my review on link above for more.

Places like Arringdon sound good, but is there anything closer to BC?

Can some one speak to me of the virtues of Brier Creek? It's so far out there, I'm curious what's so great about it.

It's nice out in Brier Creek. Although it's far from downtown Raleigh, you pretty much have everything you need there. There's the huge Brier Creek Commons, it's close to major highways, and it's not a far distance from downtown Durham and American Tobacco. I moved out there since it's closer to my job, but all in all, I'm happy living out there.

Yup, I have no reason to be near downtown Raleigh/NCSU area. I work in RTP and the Brier Creek shopping area seems to have everything I need as far as movies/restaurants/shopping goes.

Fair enough. I prefer the downtown scene to frequenting strip malls, so I was wondering what the appeal is with living that far from the heart of the city.
