Look, if those numbers turn back south and we have a double dip recession, and this will blow your mind - it's what I think will happen, then the stimulus will have been a fail.

But as for now, and with the idea that the economy somehow actually does get up out of the shitter and the primed pump ultimately ends up in firing the engine, then the stimulus will absolutely be a success. And since the direction is towards a firing engine and not towards a flooded one, you can't call it a fail.
