They worked together in a call center. Mom lived with her parents still, as she was JUST out of high school.Mom's de facto stepdad was an emotionally abusive misogynist, and he would slam the door in dad's face, hang up on him, and never tell mom he stopped by or had called. I was born on 12/21. Mom's birthday is 3/15. They married on August 24th They are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this month with a big party and a vow renewal, since they had only two witnesses on their wedding day. My grandfather is the one handling the vow renewal [Edited on August 13, 2009 at 11:24 AM. Reason : d]

My mom was in nursing school. My dad worked at the drive-in theater and somehow drove a white Pontiac drop top with a red leather interior. I think if you had a nice convertible back in the 60's women just jumped in while you were stopped at a red light, so that's probably what happened.

At my grandfather's viewing. My dad went to the wrong funeral home and walked into the wrong viewing. He asked my mom (whose dad was laying in the coffin) whose viewing it was. When he found out it was her dad's, he was embarrassed. But he chatted her up for a while while her dead dad was mere feet away. He ended up taking her out on their first date as an apology for being there at the wrong viewing. Been together 29 years.

My dad had just finished up vet school at Auburn (NC State's vet school opened up the year after he graduated AU) and came back to Havelock to live his dream of starting his own practice. He started working at the Havelock Animal Hospital for the guy there. Soon my dad started buying into the business. Anywho, my mom was in college at the time and was home. Her dog at the time had a bad case of ear mites and one of her friends recommended taking her dog to see the cute new vet at Havelock Animal Hospital. So she ended up taking her dog in and when she met my dad you could say she fell in love at first mite.

high school French class. Really small private school, even though they were in different years they had several classes together. I feel sorry for my dad. From what I understand and what pictures I've seen my mom was marginally hot in highschool, then after she got married found religion, got fat, and started wearing ugly clothes.

the words "flee" and "hunted down" were just me joking around. chronologically it did happen that way, but my dad was coming to the US for college (after spending 11 years in a jesuit seminary, and then dropping out)
