Thanks again for those of you that came for the Brooklyn Brewery tasting in July. For those of you that missed it, we have planned another event with another great Brewery. This Thursday, Sitti will be hosting Dogfish Head Brewery. Special pricing will be available on the following beers:Festina Peche-A refreshing neo-BerlinerWeisse fermented with peaches. This lambic like beer is extremely sour and paired with our homemade pomegranate and sugar syrupRaison D'Etre-A deep mahogany ale brewed with Belgian beet sugars, green raisins, and Belgian style yeast.Sah' Tea-A Modern Finnish proto-beer. This beer is fermented with German Weizen yeast and brewed with black chai tea and juniper berries.A tasting flight featuring these three along with the rare Burton Baton will be available for $14. A Dogfish Head representative will be present from 5:30pm-8:00pm to give insight and answer any questions. As always, the courtyard will remain open until 10pm. (Ask for Mark and I may be able to send something extra to your table.)[Edited on August 12, 2009 at 10:35 AM. Reason : .]

8/13/2009 10:09:21 AM

Serving the full menu as always. The restaurant will function as normal, just with these featured beers and a representative present. Managers will also be present to talk about the beers if the representative is tied up.

Wife and I are heading there at about 6:30 to 7... is the tasting flight a table order or done elsewhere with the rep. We love Dogfish Head and the wife has been wanting to try Sitti for awhile now.
8/13/2009 4:55:20 PM
wtf is a tasting flight?
8/13/2009 7:52:23 PM
A tasting flight is a tasting done in a series (tied together in some theme like style, region, vintner/brewery, or whatever). Just got back... damn good food and beer. We tried the hommos, halloumi, and lentil soup to start then my wife got the Kafta and I got the Lamb & Okra Stew (incredible). All the beers were pretty unique and both of us ended up choosing the beer for our meal that we least expected to like: Sah'Tea. The Burton Baton was probably what we would choose just to drink, but the spices of the Sah'Tea just went perfect with the food.
8/13/2009 9:33:28 PM
Sitti has excellent food
8/13/2009 9:48:06 PM
berlinerweiss was pretty good. the sah'tea wasn't as great as i thought it would be. the bar service was lacking at happy hour.
8/14/2009 12:45:44 AM
i liked the Chai/Juniper a lot
8/14/2009 12:52:38 AM
Enjoyed the Raison, Sah-Tea, and especially the BB!And I say it everytime I eat there, but I could bathe in the garlic whip [Edited on August 14, 2009 at 11:45 AM. Reason : ]

was fun last night. Went there early to get food incase it was too crowded during the beer tasting.
8/14/2009 11:48:51 AM
you know what I enjoyed the most?spending quality time with my dear friends
8/14/2009 11:50:13 AM
I got there around 9. Thoroughly enjoyed the beers, the Raison D'etre was my favorite. The Sah'Tea was great, but the taste of tea was too strong in there for me (I know its supposed to be that way, but I just don't like tea). The Burton Baton was nice, but I don't know if I could drink more than 2-3 at once I wanted food but I've been on a tight budget recently
8/14/2009 11:52:30 AM
2^ aww shucks
8/14/2009 12:24:10 PM

8/14/2009 2:50:40 PM

8/14/2009 3:20:02 PM
dinner last friday was excellent.I really enjoyed the food, as did the crib midget.
8/18/2009 12:32:44 PM
8/18/2009 1:55:39 PM
Oh I know, but I usually base the goodness of a beer on if I'd like to have a few at a time. I realize its ridiculously expensive.
8/18/2009 4:21:28 PM
The burton baton is a ridiculous beer. I would definitely drink a few in one night.Next month is looking like possibly Victory Brewery. Talked to the rep and waiting to hear back.
