I am putting my 1995 Dinan m3 up for sale. The car has just under 78,000 miles on it, but is my daily driver so that will go up. I am the third owner of the car, but know both of the previous owners. The second owner was involved in an accident, the car was not totaled. He spent a couple years going between dealers, insurance, and a independent mechanic until the mechanic was told the car was perfect. I had a mechanic tell me it was the best body work he's ever seen. This car has alot of mods and drives great.Engine:1. Dinan Powerdyne Supercharger kit2. Dinan stage 2 clutch and lightweight fly wheel kit3. Dinan Hi-flo throttle body4. Dinan Hi-flo exhaust manifolds5. Uuc system u exhaust6. Dinan Hi-flo air mass meter7. Dinan Performance engine chip8. AC schnitzer short throw shifter9. K&N air filter10. Bigger fuel injectorsSuspension:1. Dinan front strut bar2. Alpine blue tooth adapterThe powerdyne supercharger was rebuilt by superchargerrebuilds.com with their ceramic bearings and kevlar belt around 10,000 miles ago.The bad: The driver side door has the classic e36 problem where it keeps needing to be glued together and has a slight bubble right around the mirror switch, the mirror switch no longer moves the mirror (These can be found very cheap on ebay to replace it). The dove gray seats show signs of wear but have no rips or tears. There are also a few stone chips and dings here or there on the car, but nothing large or unexpected of a 14 year old car.Asking Price $13,500 I am open for offers and some trades. Let me know if you want more pictures or any more information, Psaros.jr@gmail.com. The car is located in Charlotte/ Raleigh North Carolina.

didn't you try and sell this on here before?
7/29/2009 10:17:55 PM
Yea i did try to sell it awhile back. I decided it was too much fun to get rid of, but now I've decided I'd like to get into a Honda s2000 so it's back up for sale.
7/29/2009 10:21:41 PM
I have an S2000 I'll sell for <$10k if I end up buying another sports car (working on picking up either a Z4 3.0 or a Boxster S right now...we'll see if either of those deals works out).
7/29/2009 10:50:29 PM
s2k? after this?! No way man. It's a bad idea.. Trust me. Unless you don't care about torque...
7/29/2009 10:51:11 PM
How many miles and condition of the s2k? and i know they have no torque, but I've always loved the s2000's and there's not much more i can do to the BMW, i feel like the s2k would make a good reliable base to start fresh with, I'm also interested in wrx's, but would want the wagon.
7/29/2009 10:54:23 PM
torque is overrated anyway. power makes cars go fast.
7/29/2009 10:54:24 PM
So theduke, how many miles color etc of your s2k?
7/29/2009 10:59:15 PM
to get anywhere close to your asking price you are going to need loads of pictures and perfectly organized records of anyone who has touched the car[Edited on July 30, 2009 at 12:32 AM. Reason : and "anywhere close" is generous]
7/30/2009 12:31:58 AM
^^ silver, 91kit's only for sale if I get something to replace it
7/30/2009 9:18:13 AM
where was the damage and is it a real "Dinan" car
7/30/2009 9:37:30 AM
you could probably take it to the dealerships that are offering "cash for clunkers"---it is also 15 years old, not 14[Edited on July 30, 2009 at 10:12 AM. Reason : :{]
7/30/2009 10:02:25 AM
depending on what month it was made in, it could be closer to 16 years old. but i wouldnt worry about it
7/30/2009 10:49:17 AM
The damage was done to the passanger side of the car. And yes its a real DINAN car, Steve Dinan did the install work himself back in 1995, it started off as a show car and won several shows. It also had a competition stereo in it for that time, but does not anymore.

Do you have all of the awards, and vin verification stuff. do you have this on nceuro.org as well if it is what you say it is, glws
7/30/2009 12:02:25 PM
I do have this on nceuro.org, and no i have no awards, the car was shown by two owners ago, who sold it to his brother, who was in the military with my father, who sold it to me.

7/31/2009 10:51:50 AM
will pay much less
7/31/2009 3:26:49 PM
Nice carbut you'll never get thatand you'll hate the lack of torque in an S2K
7/31/2009 4:11:51 PM
I don't know that he'll get his asking price, but I think most of you GROSSLY underestimate how much money a fairly low-mileage E36 M3 is worth, not to mention it being supercharged.[Edited on July 31, 2009 at 11:18 PM. Reason : also, torque-schmorque.]
7/31/2009 11:17:48 PM
If the car is as described, this is a very reasonable asking price, especially when he is saying the price is not firm.If I had the money I'd seriously go take a look at it, this appears to be a very well set up car.
8/1/2009 10:11:28 AM
^^ this is true, but having detailed records is HUGE for old BMW's. If he can show that steve dinan had this as a show car he will have no problem getting big money, but if he can't produce those records he can only hope that a 16yo kid with too much money takes him at his word.
8/1/2009 10:27:58 AM
Honestly, I don't think the previous owner is really a big deal. Who the fuck cares if Steve Dinan owned it or not?! He's not asking $30k for the car son. And while mods don't really add to the value of a car, in this case the car appears to have been well set up and the parts that are on it are not crappy, half-assed items. Most of them are the pricier parts you can buy actually. It appears that the car was set up in a manner that will actually keep it reliable and daily drivable. The vehicle it looks good, it has a reasonable sound system and even a relatively recently rebuilt supercharger. Pending a thorough examination, this asking price does not seem unreasonable. If you are interested but you think it's worth less than that, you can simply make him an offer and go from there son. $13.5k is not some insane figure to start out with and the goal is generally to get the most money you possibly can for your car. If he can find a buyer at that price, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that son. Why do you think anyone would try to make less money just to please your retarded ass? Plu, if I'm not mistaken, you aren't even interested in the car..... But please do explain why he needs to lower the price for you... ]
8/1/2009 10:36:56 AM
i'm just saying that the used bmw market loves records son[Edited on August 1, 2009 at 10:41 AM. Reason : necessary or not]
8/1/2009 10:41:03 AM
And I'm just saying he should try to get as much money as he can for his car. To do anything less would be fucking retarded unless he is helping out a friend or family member. In that case, it is really fucked up to rip someone off.But that is not the case here and you've got to start somewhere son.Oh and just to clarify that "rip someone off" statement, I do NOT think he's trying to rip anyone off with this sale. He did not even say that the price was firm (At least not that I could see). ]
8/1/2009 10:43:07 AM
There's been a little confusion, Steve Dinan installed the Dinan mods, it was not his car. I have about an inch thick stack of records the previous owner gave me, however i do not think they are complete, but its better then nothing. And the price is a starting point, i am open to offers.

I really need to sell this, price dropped to $12,000

^^^ Yep, and that's why I followed that statement up with:

[Edited on August 2, 2009 at 8:59 PM. Reason : double post]
8/2/2009 8:52:40 PM
^^ yes they do. not what they origincally cost, or anywhere near it, but they certainly do add value. Now, slapping an exhaust on a car doesn't necessarily add value, but a setup like this is sure as hell worth significantly more than a stock M3, particularly with it being relatively low mileage (instead of having, say, 180k miles, with 130k of them being boosted).in many cases, they ESPECIALLY add value to older cars (from a percentage standpoint), because you're then largely paying for the go-fast parts, as the car as depreciated so much by that point.
8/2/2009 8:58:57 PM
I need to sell this, price dropped to $10,500
8/3/2009 8:16:12 PM
someone wanting an E36 M3 with FI ought to jump on that.
8/3/2009 8:59:19 PM
Yea, 10.5 is reasonable. If I had the cash I'd pick it up but I don't so good luck!
