Before you get too excited, they are in pretty crappy condition. Here's the deal:My dad, who passed away last August, had several '79-early '80s Corvettes. All ran at some point in their lives, but have been sitting around for God knows how long waiting for various repairs. They have been under tarps at my grandma's house in Goldsboro for a long time, just sitting there. There may be water damage in the interior from rain. I know at least one will probably need a front bumper, maybe a hood. Anyway, we're getting all of my dad's stuff from my grandma's. These will probably be stored at a lot we own on Hwy 70 in Goldsboro. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Also, if anyone has a car trailer and can help us move them at a date TBD, let me know . We're gonna need a lot of help, actually, we have like 6 cars to move. So anyway, if anyone is interested in buying a C3 for very cheap as a project car, let me know. You have to give me a ride in it though, once it's fixed. That's the only stipulation. Any questions?/words

paging BigBlueRam although imo c3s are more for show at this point in time, i personally think it was one of the best looking generations (c5 a close tie)

there's some guy from goldsboro that works with my dad whose hobby is restoring vettes and selling them. he'd probably be very interested.

I've never looked at a C3 and thought:Wow, that's a fine looking car, but what it really needs are some wider fender flares!
7/23/2009 8:44:29 PM
i've never cared a lot for C3s in general, but that flat black one is sweet looking.
7/23/2009 9:07:18 PM
That vette is good looking, sorta mad max style
7/24/2009 10:42:35 AM
if I thought it would handle well, I'd build something like that.
7/24/2009 11:04:12 AM
love the C3 style
7/24/2009 11:09:24 AM
Badass C3 up there, but did anyone notice the light recesses? No Corvette, or at least not one sold in the US, had them like that--each of the 4 tails had its own recess in the urethane panel. Obviously the car is modified, but I've never seen anything like that before.
7/24/2009 4:53:05 PM
yeah, i thought those looked pretty cool.
7/24/2009 5:09:57 PM
7/24/2009 6:13:44 PM
making stuff fast is just a matter of throwing money at it. making stuff handle is another thing altogether.
7/24/2009 7:09:32 PM
only if you're worried about doing it yourselfgiving it + enough $$ to the right shop still = good handling
7/24/2009 7:10:17 PM
C3 > C4 imo.

7/25/2009 12:26:57 PM
pretty niggardly with all the stickers
8/7/2009 10:30:45 AM
lol, it's funny how all c3's have pretty much identical creaks/squeaks. that's got to be an aftermarket/custom rear bumper. assuming the front fenders are correct, that's a 1973. further confirmation is the appearance of a fixed rear window...^^^why do you say that? there have only been 3 years (53-56) of the corvette's entire life that the lights weren't recessed from the factory to some extent... especially 74-04.
8/8/2009 12:42:32 PM
it looks like the batmobile
8/8/2009 5:31:16 PM
as long as they work, doesn't matter if they are recessed, he has side markers
