Seems like it might be for the best, one of the things I had a hard time believing in the series was the ages of some of these people, like Loras being the most badass jouster in the world at 16, and Robb being an unstoppable general at 15, etc.

They got the cast together. Show looks like it could be good. Sarah Connor is Cersei, and some cute? chick on Tudors in Dany. She can definitely look young. The kids they got to play the stark kids are fucking hideous. Honestly, the less kids on screen the better. Kids are offensive to watch on tv.

Well I guess Robb is supposed to be handsome but none of the others are described as particularly attractive, so I guess that doesn't matter much.

As long as they aren't as hideous as Ron was at the beginning of the Harry Potter movie series.

i don't find it hard to believe at all...when you consider that this is medieval fantasy/fiction, you have to take into account that 40 is OLD..."old enough to bleed, old enough to breed" and all that jazz...a 16yo would be in much better shape with a higher maturity level (in general, as a necessity) than a 16yo these days...it's not a stretch for a 15yo to be a general (lafayette was a general at 20...henry VI and ivan VI were both less than a year old when they became kings...not hard to believe that they'd assume loyal control of an army over those 15 years in a society ruled by a monarchy)

40 has never been old, just people didn't live to be old nearly as often back then.

Nobility (which makes up pretty much the whole series) lived into their 70's or longer often enough. What's his face with the 100 kids in the books is like 90 something.

The poor kid doesn't even have his baby teeth out yet, give im a break. He's the same kid in Batman Begins that saw Batman go into a house or something and then was caught on that island when scarecrow started spreading his poison. So he's more attractive when he's in action and not gaping at the camera.

When Hoster Tully died and talked about "tansy," was he referring to the abortion tea for Lysa's illegitimate pregnancy? And was Petyr the father? IIRC Petyr hinted that Cate lost her virginity to him, but it was at night or something and I suspect maybe it was Lysa?? Ideas?

I'm re-reading the series (out of order ... ha ha) and it just depresses me knowing how everything is gonna go to shit for Tyrion.
