I want to add an internal SATA drive to an older computer. Limited to PCI slots.Would like it to be capable of a theoretical 3.0 Gbps, but unsure if it's limited by the PCI archtecture. All the good cards are PCI-E.My question is: Is there a PCI card that is rated for SATA II speeds instead of SATA I, like I've been seeing? Is this my only choice?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815102102

You are facing a problem of bandwidth. I dont remember the speeds off top of my head, but SATA II I think has a higher bandwidth than PCI. Only PCIE can support SATAII.

Looks like it'll be time for a computer upgrade sooner or later.
