I put the jeep shifter in D and use the CUSA shifter for 1-4 and the rocker switch for torque converter lockup. Works like a charm.

Ultimately it came down to too many variables in getting the TCU to work with my jeep. If I knew what year my AW4 was it would have been a lot easier. I couldn't figure out what wire was what and trying to get all the signals in and out of the TCU was a nightmare.

This was way easier - I only had to send a signal to 3 solenoids; plus now I can lock the tranny into 1st instead of 1/2 which will make it a lot easier to wheel.

Not to mention it's insanely fun to drive. I giggled.

*edit* You know how you can tell i've wheeled uwharrie? Fucking orange ass mud under the CENTER CONSOLE. I hate mud with a passion.

well why don't you post it in tech talk also for the geeks, and classifieds in case someone wants to buy one, and in old school since its an old video game, and the lounge since its kinda serious, and hell, why not sports talk, since offroading is a sport, and feedback forum, in case someone has comments on it?

So far I haven't had any issues and it seems like it will stay in gear pretty well on and off road. If it wears out the parts are pretty easy to replace individually.
