I was hoping I could watch Tiger's round at work on thursday, since he tees off at 9:09. Too bad that's local time, so he tees off at 4:09am our time this will make for some good wake up and watch some early morning golf this weekend though
7/14/2009 11:26:04 AM
Who is this Eldrick fellow? Didn't see his name when I was looking up tee times...
7/14/2009 12:45:11 PM
according to the TV schedule, they won't start broadcasting coverage until 7AM. Tiger will be almost done with his round by then
7/14/2009 1:51:08 PM
^ well then avoid espn.com as I am sure the broadcast will be tape delayed

Can we ban maximus from golf threads?IMO this is Tiger's worst major. I think Garcia might actually get over the hump and win at Turnberry.

nothing brings out the troll maximus like a golf thread apparently....its funny how you harp on how many days you have been registered like that is come kind of real cloutthat being said, go tiger
7/15/2009 2:33:19 PM
okay pete chilcut, loved your career with golden state or sacremento or whoever drafted you.love those late 80's early 90's carolina teams.ugh.too bad they don't allow the fans multiple codes of football in the British Isles to heckle eldrick. for once, just for once i wish that this "competitor" would allow that he has pretty much the same desire as say, tyler hansblow. then i would have a smack of respect for him.
7/15/2009 2:37:51 PM
what the fuck are you babbling about now
7/15/2009 3:13:13 PM
nothing really. i just don't like tiger woods. i think he is a stuck up and that his shit don't stink. i'm sure i've said it before, but before we crown him as the greatest golfer ever, he needs to set all time marks for wins and championships.it's fair to say it about other athletes only after they've done it, so the same should go for the golfer formarlly known as eldrick.his disdain for others while playing is laughable. i mean, seriously, he can't take a little ribbing? and the swearing and the intensity? he is made out to be this superman, but apparantly saying "you suck tiger" is kryptonite for this guy. if he was so tough, wouldn't that roll right off his back.anyway, i hope he misses the cut (even though he won't) and somebody from the other side of the pond wins their tourney. only fair.
7/15/2009 3:24:23 PM
how about he has the largest margin of victory in all 4 majors, the highest winning % in majors (of those who matter) and the lowest score in relation to par in all 4 majors. that do anything for you?
7/15/2009 3:47:06 PM
how about he doesn't have the most majors.trump card. right bower.
7/15/2009 3:57:42 PM
the right bower is always trump, but nice redundancy. and you're right, he doesn't have that yet. but does Jordan have the all time scoring record in the NBA? nooooope. Karl Fucking Malone scored more points than he did. Look, as of now, I'm still putting the golden bear ahead of tiger, based not only on wins, but the fact that Jack also had 19 second place finishes in majors. But to say that Tiger shouldn't be in the discussion is absurd. The guy is 33 and still has another 7+ years of prime golfing ahead of him.
7/15/2009 4:21:16 PM
anyone know of any live coverage at 4am.. online radio even maybe?
7/15/2009 10:19:37 PM

look at ol' Tom Watsontrying to get another major in there... I don't know if he can keep it up for 4 rounds, but damn... -5 for a 59 yr old with all these kids- Impressive!of course, he does like the British Open- he has won it 5 times. But the amazing thing is, the first time he did it was 34 years ago!
7/16/2009 7:49:29 AM
is it just me or does anyone else notice this trend with Tiger? I don't know, but it seems to me that he never gets off to good starts in majors anymore.does anyone else think that maybe he plays too conservative and doesn't just let his talent come out most of the time? (shows the course too much respect) I know it makes almost no sense to ever question anything he does because he will just make you look stupid for even thinking it. However, he always seems to be playing from way behind in the majors lately. Maybe he is getting closer to Jack's record and is trying too hard or something. He is now (+1) for his opening round this week and this course is playing really easy.
7/16/2009 8:18:21 AM
I wish I could have seen some of that Tom Watson round DAMN! He loves this championship and the people over there recognize that and have a lot of respect for Watson.Tiger hit it in the water on #16 then saved bogey off of the tee box at #17. He better get his ass in gear or risks getting left back in the pack like Bethpage.british open golf clap ftw
7/16/2009 8:18:32 AM
7/16/2009 8:22:19 AM
wow Tiger is in some shit on #17this hole could get ugly
7/16/2009 8:25:19 AM
7/16/2009 8:29:06 AM
The thing about Tiger is even when he looks like he is playing like complete shit he still somehow manages to end up in the top 5 or so most of the time.
7/16/2009 8:29:13 AM
Bets I madeTiger finishes outside of the top two (-160)Sergio finishes 19 or better ( -120)
7/16/2009 8:42:03 AM
7/16/2009 9:01:22 AM
know what's amazing .... tigers missed FIVE cuts in the last 12 years ....he has'nt finished out side the top 10 in any stroke play tourny in the last 2 years. (british 2007)

7/16/2009 11:05:37 PM
Is there a place where we can stream this online?
7/17/2009 8:52:54 AM
I don't know of a video stream, but the official site has a pretty good scoreboard coverage, and a link to live radio. I know that's not what you're looking for, but thought you could use it in the interim.http://scoring.opengolf.com/flash_console/scoring_console.sps
7/17/2009 9:02:55 AM
Thanks man but video would be awesome. I found a justin TV link. Might have to do. I was hoping one of the networks would be streaming this online.

lol everyone's falling apart
7/17/2009 10:16:54 AM
The weather is getting up nowTiger just had a nice sandy on #5. If he can get in the clubhouse -1 for the tournament or some anywhere under par really, he will be in good shape going into the weekend. Def pulling for Steve Marino as well. It's really cool to see players like him doing well on the big stage.
7/17/2009 10:44:20 AM
Awesome! I get to watch the entire back 9 for Tiger at work this morning. Thanks for posting that link...
7/17/2009 11:07:26 AM
Watson had a tough bogey stretch from 4-7, but it looks like hes turned it back around with birdie on 9 and 11. +2 for the day
7/17/2009 11:40:18 AM
Tiger is getting ready to play himself out of this tournament with this 3 hole shitfest at 8,9, and 10.
