I am now on bags and have about 5.5'' of travel. I am extremely pleased with the ride at any level. At ride height, it is just as stiff as my 2.5'' static drop on a H&R cup kit, but with none of the tire rubbing.I just got back from a 7300 mile road trip where I drove a loop to CA and back. I left on the 30th of May, and got home on the 22nd of June. I'll have some pictures from the trip up later.[Edited on June 23, 2009 at 8:51 PM. Reason : .]

jesus christ that thing looks worse and worse with each stage of modsIt's cool, just looks more rice than in the past [Edited on June 23, 2009 at 9:14 PM. Reason : -bags are overrated ]

nice hatch man!
6/23/2009 9:24:54 PM
Yellowstone National ParkI don't see any rice here. Not really though. The only thing that has changed in the last year has been the drop and the stereo.
6/23/2009 9:36:20 PM
the chrome macaroni out the front bumper is a little . otherwise i think it flows well.
6/23/2009 9:37:25 PM
so how hard is it to dodge speed bumps everywhere you go?
6/23/2009 9:40:06 PM
body kit looks out of place with the wheel dimensions and the variable drop... but i know how you dub guys are so.. i guess it will pass.
6/23/2009 9:48:20 PM
Speed bumps are no longer a problem.Though, at the height I drive at, they aren't really a problem either.
6/23/2009 10:22:41 PM
can ypu 3-wheel?do you dubcore?
6/23/2009 10:33:15 PM
Looks good, very clean.Every car should come with a roof rack that nice.
6/23/2009 10:56:59 PM
i like the duct tape
6/23/2009 11:37:16 PM
I mostly like it, but I'm not a fan of the staggered wheel size
6/23/2009 11:54:50 PM
I have not tried to 3 wheel yet.I do not dubcorp. The bars are VW OEM, the basket is ebay knockoff that turns out is a quality piece. I carried about 300 lbs on it with no problems. bars are rated at 220, and basket at 200.The duct tape is on both sides. I ripped it off on a gravel road going to Cathedral Rock in Sedona, AZ.Wheels are 18'' front and 19'' rear. Tires are 245/35 front and 255/30 rear.I'm a fan, but I know not everyone is. It is easier to tell that they are staggered in pictures than it is IRL.
6/24/2009 12:14:20 AM
baller. i'd drive it.
6/24/2009 1:11:49 AM
YOU ARE THE WORST KIND OF NEGRO

6/24/2009 8:17:03 AM
Awesome. Post more pics of your trip.
6/24/2009 8:36:23 AM
did you go with a kit? is it the mason tech one?i've never been a fan of staggered diameter, but i'm sure you dont care what i think
6/24/2009 10:37:33 AM
are those the weld on eye lids or a aftermarket hood?car looks nice man
6/24/2009 10:38:42 AM
it is what the vw guys call a "boser" hood. basically, metal eyelids welded into the hood.iirc, he had his original hood modified...
6/24/2009 10:41:58 AM
^he does, and its badass. Fantastic craftsmanship!
6/24/2009 10:44:09 AM
is there a purpose for that or do y'all just like the way it looks?
6/24/2009 11:29:19 AM
It is for looks. The 5'' VW symbol gets tossed, and the hood gets extended 3'' or so in the front.I went with the mason-tech and accuair setup w/ great plates.I'll have pictures of the trip up later.
6/24/2009 11:37:10 AM
did you do the install? i'd like to check out the setup if you're coming out to another meet... i've been wondering about the quality of the mason tech stuff (looks to be pretty nice on their site)
6/24/2009 2:50:31 PM
I like the pic of it raised up much more than the slammed ones. Maybe an inch lower in the back and it'd be perfect
6/24/2009 4:29:36 PM
I drive with it about here:I'll be at the dinner Friday night, or can swing by your shop if you want.
6/24/2009 6:02:00 PM
pretty sure i spotted you on tryon out near 401 today. right by the golf course. you were headed west.
6/24/2009 7:50:11 PM
very possible, I was at the range and getting a rat for my snake in Garner.

6/25/2009 9:52:19 AM
must be fuckin a fat chick
6/28/2009 9:45:25 PM
I, too, use duct tape to fix nice objects.
6/28/2009 10:13:51 PM
ha, that moving pic is awesome
6/28/2009 11:23:43 PM

7/3/2009 8:30:12 PM
I passed you on Hillsborough St the other day. Looked good.[Edited on July 4, 2009 at 4:21 AM. Reason : Are the potholes as much fun in that car as they are on my bike?]
