Girlfriends wheel hub bearing is makign some noise, Local shop wants 240 to replace one. Seem like a good price? And anyone around here do it for cheaper?

2k5 is much different than $240...But I remember a similar price on my Jetta, so not all that bad. I'm sure beethead could do some macguyver shit in his driveway and fix it for $50 though, with the way he got his old jetta going...

bearing is about $50, maybe 2 hrs to pull it down and press it in, sounds about right

AutoMax,its off of corporation at new Bern. I really liek the guys in there, seem to be honest dealers. Figured i would ask just for reference. But so far ive alwasy been happy with them
