So my friend was unscrewing the cable out of the coaxial and it just kind of came off. How much does this cost to get fixed or solder backed on and should it be covered under the warranty? (TV is only about 3 months old)

Is there some obstacle in place which prevents you from reading your warranty?

Yeah, I'm about 200 miles away from it.

why are you using the coax input of an hdtv in the first place? antenna?

have you tried googling your tv's warranty/manual information?

what's a 52-foot tv cost, anyway?

Just using regular cable for now, we're moving out in a month so digital isn't worth it.

I think it cost 2k.

go on samsung's site and make a warranty claim, they will contact you about fixing your shit (assuming the tv was purchased new)

did you witness this coming off? because if you're 200 miles away, more than likely your friend is incompetent and he broke it by trying too hard

are you connecting it to just regular cable coming out of the wall? do you not have a cable box? use RCAs or hdmi or something

1. call Samsung and/or the place you bought it and find out if it qualifies as something fixed under warranty.

OR

2. use one of the other solutions ITT to bypass the need for the coax connection.
