Andy Murray will be a force to be reckoned with

they said Nadal lost an exhibition set earlier, but i doubt it is an indication of anything

i think Federer beat Nadal on clay a few weeks ago, he might have more confidence if they happen to meet in the Open

it would certainly be unexpected. but people seem to forget that federer is damn good on clay. nadal is just far better than ANYONE else.

so what are the odds on anyone besides nadal, 100 to 1?

I think I'll pay more attention to the women's side

well of course

but if not nadal then who? fed

but i agree with him... fed will have to be more patient and play longer points against raf to do it. but if he is going to beat him, it will require a 4 hour match that i think federer will be fine with doing... as this year he does whatever it takes. and that means playing nadals type game and not his own

^^i think it's the exact opposite. nadal's fitness is one of his strongest assets. he almost never seems to get tired. i haven't seen federer play yet at this french open, but the commentators mentioned in a different match that he needs to be more aggressive and go for the kill more quickly when he has the chance. and i believe this is what he did last week when he beat nadal (of course i didn't see this, i'm only relying on the word of the announcers).

sarjoul... yes nadal's fitness is his strongest asset... and in past french open matches between them federer IS very aggressive and does hit very GOOD shots, but because of nadal's quickness and fitness it allows him to get to every single aggressive shot that roger hits thus making Fed play even more aggressive and start to lose points by cracking errors left and right by going for too much. It gets in his head and Nadal just coasts
I know you are listening to commentators but... they are wrong, im right

Federer has to be patient and work VERY VERY VERY hard to beat this clay freak of nature

In Madrid, Nadal had a 4 hour match against Djokovic the day before and that's why Fed took advantage of that, winning in straight sets.

He has to play much more aggressive and more consistent in Paris if he wants to win against Nadal

Tennis season overlaps with college football, so no, televised tennis can go jump off a cliff for taking up those precious airwaves/channels.

if Federer doesn't win this French, he probably never will. Nadal was tired and really he had to lose sometime. This was Federer's year. Not saying he can't come back (down 2-0 to Tommy Haas) but he needs to win this French Open.

And lets face it, he is probably running out of chances anyway.

To be honest, it's more along the lines of trying to watch football where the other person in the room wants to check the tennis score and conveniently never turns it back to football. Of course they're probably saying the other person in the room wants to check the football score and conveniently never turns it back to tennis.
