Dillinger Escape PlanThe Number 12 Looks Like Youand more@ The Brewery June 12thTickets are $14.I know we have a concert thread that I read, but I dono if the same audience for dillinger regularly reads that thread. Anywho, this will probably be nuts. Hopefully they play a lot of old stuff (which they still seem to do a lot), but given the fact that they just got another new drummer last minute before the tour, they might not have made learning calculating infinity stuff a priority yet :/Either way, I have never seen Dillinger in a place smaller than ~1000 people so seeing them at a 350 place should be awesome.

I saw Dillinger Escape Plan a couple months ago...it was one of the more awesome concerts I've been tonot as rockin' as Monotonix though

I tried to like this band, but this genre of music just gives me a headache. Nevertheless, I liked what they did with nine inch nails. http://www.vimeo.com/3521751

5/21/2009 4:55:48 PM
oh yea ill definitely enjoy seeing them (#12) as well. But Dillinger is still one of the best live bands I've ever seen. It's been probably 4 years since the last time I saw them though so who knows how they are now with some new guys. But their set at Tremont in Charlotte ~2004 was one of the best live sets I've ever seen. (good other times too but that one stands out for some reason)[Edited on May 21, 2009 at 5:00 PM. Reason : ]

Dillinger is awesome live. i saw them at Lincoln.i think this show i'm more stoked to see #12 though because i haven't seen them before.
5/21/2009 5:07:11 PM
^^Last time I saw them was back in 2004 as well. Twice in the span of a few days. Once as a shithole in NJ then at the Electric Factory in phila. I believe they were touring with Poison the Well at the time. I haven't listened to them in a couple years, but I think I may check this out. Thanks for the heads up.[Edited on May 21, 2009 at 5:36 PM. Reason : wtf almost all of the post didn't show up]

i might go to this one
5/22/2009 4:38:50 AM
I think I'm gonna check this out. I hope I can convince some friends to come along (most of my friends can't stand music with screaming or growling in it)
5/28/2009 4:58:34 PM
Still trying to convince adam8778 to goHere's hoping for the best

Does anyone have any idea when they might go on? It says the show starts at 7. I have to work that night, but can probably make it by 10. If there was still a bit of playing left, I'd still go for Dillinger. I haven't been to the Brewery in quite a while and don't know how late their shows usually go.
6/1/2009 1:50:48 PM
theyre pretty good time wise for bigger shows like this, but I would say if you are going at 10, you should prob not have to worry about missing dillinger. I could be wrong though but my guess is that they will start somewhere around 10:30 unless they add more bands than the ones I heard recently.
6/1/2009 2:31:10 PM
SOMEONE BUY A T-SHIRT (MED) AND MAIL IT TO MEI aint gonna get to go
6/11/2009 2:56:35 PM
time to roll to work... I really hope they're not done playing by the time I get off around 10
6/12/2009 4:47:10 PM
oh shit, this is tonight.
6/12/2009 6:03:40 PM
my god....prob the best live set i have ever seen. no exaggeration.
6/13/2009 12:44:43 AM
i missed the show but i have seen dillinger live with poison the well, was probably the fucking greatest live show ever
6/13/2009 1:33:21 AM
yea ive seen them live a few times, and all their performances have been stellar. In fact one of the Charlotte ones is definitely in my Top 5 sets ive ever seen. But tonight was just on a completely different level than any of their sets I've seen previously. Despite the fact that I really miss Chris on the drums, the newest guy is straight solid and Tuttle fits in PERFECT on guitar. Spot on and even crazier than Ben if that is possible to imagine. He ran out into the crowd 2X during the set. Once during "the running board" he ran out into the crowd, hopped on a pool table and was going nuts and then on their last song of the night "43% Burnt" He was out in the middle of the pit going absolutely bonkers. All of them had so much energy for an hour long set and they played perfect. It was a great mix of songs in the set two. from what I remember:-2 songs off irony is a dead scene (when good dogs do bad things and come to daddy(not often played by them))-4 songs off calculating infinity-4 songs off of ire works-3 or 4 off of miss machinenearly a perfect setlist; they played basically all of my favorites. and the encore of the combined panasonic youth and 43% burnt was fantastic. Outside of those two, seeing Sugar Coated Sour live again was probably the highlight of the night for me. I haven't been that impressed with a metal band's performance in a LONG time, if ever honestly. Well worth the $.
6/13/2009 3:19:22 AM
arent they playing at bonnaroo this weekend?
6/13/2009 3:24:20 AM
definitely was awesome
6/13/2009 7:49:16 AM
i ended up missing the show. i see dillinger rocked, which is no surprise. how was #12?
6/13/2009 9:23:22 AM
Only bc I know you guys might find this interesting, but I just got out of the last us nine inch nails show ever, and for the last song of the main set trent reznor brought up dillinger and the two bands played "wish" jointly. Will post a video later
6/14/2009 5:16:16 AM
^what he said, minus the video posting. It was pretty awesome.I saw Dillinger's set at Roo yesterday. Not my kind of music... but it was actually somewhat enjoyablenonetheless. I like how guys in bands like this always seem to be enjoying themselves so much, compared with many other bands. It's pretty cool to see them connecting with fans.[Edited on June 15, 2009 at 7:03 AM.
