In these trying times I'm looking for a way to make a little extra income on the side, and I was trying to think outside the box and put my talents to use. I'm a people person, good at networking, and I know a lot of people constituting a variety of interests.I started a mind game where I'd think of a random individual or organization I don't directly know, then I'd play out how I'd go about getting in contact with them. There weren't too many scenarios that proved to be too difficult, at least in theory, but I'm limited by my own imagination.I know this sounds silly, since much of the legwork could be done by anyone with patience and dedication, but therein lies the service: If you're too busy or don't know how to find the person, service, or organization that you need, pay me to hook you up with them. I'll use music as an example since that is indeed an area I'm well acquainted with. Let's say the relatively new Band X is tired of playing dinky bars in Raleigh and wants to book a show in, say Boston, but they have no idea how to go about it. They call me, pay me a minimal fee and if I don't directly have a venue contact in Boston, I'll use my networking base to find one and set something up. That's just one of an almost infinite number of examples, get creative here. So the purpose of this thread is for you to help me get in some practice and see if it's a viable source of income. I'm not going to find your ex-girlfriend that blocked you out of her life for being a creepy stalker, and I probably won't be any better at finding your high school sweetheart than you are, but if you have a legitimate desire to get in touch with an entity and haven't the time or have been reaching dead-ends, shoot me a PM and if I feel your case is interesting I'll do my best for free (unless I incur any unusual/unavoidable costs, in which case I'll do it at-cost -- not trying to turn profit just yet). anyway, flame on

Find me someone I can communicate with on how I should set up my algae bio reactor. Not a 'how to' website, but someone with knowledge that wants to answer my questions

see now ^^ and ^ are the type of things I'm talking about. I'm not going to "get you a job" but it'll be fun trying to see what I can do to put you in contact with the individual(s) you need to sell yourself to.

^ I like this idea. Try this one on:You set up a website that people can post questions of this nature. "Looking for a contact at ASDF Corp. Want cell # and a name to use as a ref. " They assign a value to the question, maybe 5 $. Someone answers their question and pays, you take 10%.
