Premieres tonight after American Idol on FOX. Figure I'll give it a shot.Whether this show will suck or not, I don't know. But I do know that using Don't Stop Believing in your preview is awesome.

Glay
5/19/2009 9:37:50 AM
Probably so, but admit it ... you kind of like the commercial.
5/19/2009 9:43:56 AM
looks horrible. not going to watch it. ever
5/19/2009 9:47:28 AM
on a side note, they hired real cheerleaders haha
5/19/2009 11:17:50 AM
actually, using that song, is quite annoying and would stop me from watching the show.
5/19/2009 12:01:38 PM
I saw a longer preview awhile back and thought it looked pretty good. I'm recording it tonight just to check it out. From what I remember this is just a sneak peak and it will be coming on later in the summer or did I just make that up?
5/19/2009 12:56:26 PM
^^Absurdity. Using Journey is never a bad thing
5/19/2009 3:39:38 PM
Re-living high school talent shows where you failed and no one cared, Season 1.

5/19/2009 3:56:11 PM
From the commercials I think it will be terrible but I will probably watch it anyways because of the slim chance that it could be decent.
5/19/2009 5:38:42 PM
i just don't understand Fox's plan with this show.show a "preview" episode now after Idol's finale no less, then wait months to air the next episode
5/19/2009 6:18:14 PM
Only got about half an hour through it ... had to turn the channel. It was pretty terrible, although they did play some Journey.
5/19/2009 9:49:00 PM
I like it so far.
5/19/2009 9:50:14 PM
It just felt a little forced to me. That one girl -- the snobbish singer -- talks and sings just like the Little Mermaid.
5/19/2009 9:53:43 PM
I give it one good season. No more. It is among this whole High School Musical craze going on with the youngsters.
5/19/2009 10:00:36 PM
I enjoyed it.
5/19/2009 10:04:17 PM
i enjoyed it, pretty predictable though
5/19/2009 10:26:54 PM
Decided to give it another chance. I turned it back on right at the end -- right when they were getting into Don't Stop Believing.I don't give a shit how good or bad the show was before that point, that was fucking awesome. Love the wheelchair dude ripping the guitar solo. One problem: Did anybody notice the drummer got up from the kit halfway trhough the song, yet the drums kept going? WTF?
5/19/2009 10:48:45 PM
yeah Don't Stop Believin at the end is the only reason I even watched...it was good.^didn't the main singer dude play the drums and then get up and hand the sticks back to the actual drummer?
5/20/2009 12:10:18 AM
I enjoyed it. Grabbed "Don't Stop Believin'" by the Glee cast off of iTunes too.
5/20/2009 12:25:40 AM
Good stuff, but I liked Popular back in the day, so I got a soft spot for good, although very gay shows.
5/20/2009 1:25:23 AM
This was pretty bad. The Journey was no good. They should have stuck with shitty performances of shitty songs like that Rehab crap that was on midway through the show.Feels very formulaic.
5/20/2009 10:06:09 AM
I think I turned it off after the main guy talked to the group about their roles in it all...didn't even see the Journey performance...why did I think the episode was over? Haha, doh!It wasn't bad, I almost turned it a few times but rode it out for the most part(though apparently I missed the best part, haha).
5/20/2009 10:47:22 AM
They should have made the lead-singer girl more likable. She's got an incredible voice, but she comes off as so damn annoying. It was incredibly predictable, and like I said, it felt very forced at times. The student actors were pretty poor IMO, although the main guy seems to be alright. I'll probably watch it again if/when it comes back, but I won't go out of my way to do so.
5/20/2009 11:28:11 AM
^^Ha, yeah I almost missed it too. You should have known it was coming when he was wheeling the handicapped kid through the football field. The song was playing over the loud speaker. Then when he's assigning roles, he says "I got the music." I was like, prepare for Journey motherfuckers.
5/20/2009 11:30:17 AM
^^Why should the lead-singer girl be more likable? She was intentionally depicted as annoying, you know, satire.
5/20/2009 12:49:35 PM
^^Yeah I was thinking he'd use Journey, but I thought it would be in the next episode they'd start working on it and stuff, haha.
5/20/2009 12:54:21 PM
i'm going to assume that all of the guys posting in here are gay. there is no other reason to like a musical. people that aren't tweens are buying the music on itunes??? that's amazing to me. serious question, do you like high school musical too?
5/20/2009 1:27:55 PM
I don't understand why this isn't all a capella.A capella guitar solos are way cooler over huge chorales than real guitar solos are.
5/20/2009 1:42:25 PM
5/20/2009 2:00:16 PM
I liked it
5/20/2009 2:23:02 PM
5/20/2009 3:31:39 PM
so the show would be better if it patterned itself after crappy movies with played out characters/plots like She's All That?
5/20/2009 5:08:04 PM
It already does ... painfully so. Might as well go overboard.
5/21/2009 12:23:43 AM
I thought it was adorable
5/21/2009 8:42:59 AM
I've never really watched high school musical, only saw little bits and pieces flipping through the channels and on previews, but this seems just like. With the guy being a jock and trying to do the jock and singing thing. Besides all that, I really like it I'll probably get sucked into it when it comes back on in the fall.
5/22/2009 12:41:59 PM
I enjoyed it. It did feel kinda gay at times, but it's a pilot and most pilots have that lame feel but lose it as the season goes on.
5/23/2009 9:52:31 AM
anything that's plugged on all things considered is usually really bad.
