damn right... you can do an online league with OOTP that sounds pretty sweet.Found a fully functional demo for OOTP 9... going to give it a shot before 10 comes out.http://www.megagames.com/news/redir.cgi?aHR0cDovL2Rvd25sb2Fkcy5tZWdhZ2FtZXMuY29tL21wMy9vb3RwOWRlbW9zZXR1cC5leGU=hmmm, not sure if I like it or not... love the GM stuff so far... but not sure about the rest[Edited on May 12, 2009 at 1:34 AM. I've never played OOTP but one guy on another forum I go to would take requests for people's players to be made. Then he'd work through seasons and let everyone know how their players were doing. It was pretty sweet.

I've been in a few OOTP online leagues over the years. The game itself is very detailed and pretty fun, but the online leagues are much more enjoyable. If you get a good commish and an active league, you can get pretty involved and attached to your players, especially if you get a guy like this: http://www.potd.pterodactyl.ca/reports/html/players/player_1625.htmlHere's a league I've been in for about 20 seasons now (5 years real time): http://www.potd.pterodactyl.ca/zik/We currently use OOTP 8, but will upgrade to 10 later this year, and we have a few openings now. If Jaybee were to spend 20 hours a day playing OOTP, I would give him shit.Anything's OK in moderation.

6 Jolt's and 3 Hot Pockets later, Jaybee sees the first light of dawn out his window. He looks at his clock: 6:58. He has to be at work in 90 minutes. He can't believe he's been playing OOTP for 11 straight hours. As he peels off his boxers and steps into the shower, he can't help but smile. Work will be a bitch today, he says to himself. But it was all worth it.

I'm going to get this, trade for Aaron Heilman and send him to low A ball and let him languish there for the rest of his sorry career. And then fire Jerry Manuel.

i've been playing ootp for several years now, first in an html reports only league, then in a handful of leagues once i broke down and bought the game. i love it much better than bball mogul. this is the main league i'm in: http://www.worldbaseballhierarchy.com/promotion/relegation style baseball league, there's always a good race going on, either to challenge for promotion to the next level, or to keep your ass from getting booted to the level below (for which there are stiff penalties to fan loyalty, merchandising, draft pick slots, etc.)i'm in another promotion style league (the original commish for wbh started a new league), but i don't quite feel the attachment like i do for the wbh. plus they plan on going to "talent only" ratings from 1-5, which i think is akin to throwing darts blindfolded. wbh is current and talents 1-10 which requires making decisions more on stats.
