So, I have a Cannon Elph PowerShot SD630 and the flash won't work.

Any thoughts on how to fix it?

Is it safe to assume you know how to use the camera and that all settings are as they should be to allow the flash to function?

press the lightning bolt button until you see a lightning bolt (without the "no" icon over it)

Yes, I know how to use the camera. I took it to Peace Street Camera. They said it looked like a good outdoor camera and to buy a new one.
