seems like somebody comes out with some research promising this kind of stuff every month

so yeah, it makes for a good news article, but i doubt this is going to dramatically alter the tech world on the scale of CD -> DVD -> HD DVD

i meant in the general sense of the technology ie high definition digital video disc. not the branded technology called HD DVD

i'm not really interested in physical media anymore. work on increasing internet speeds and let me download the stuff.

increased net speed is already been done, the problem is TWC/et al that are both slow as fuck rolling it out and really do not want to invest in the infrastructure (see wilsons high speed initiative 10/10 for $35/month)

verizon has FIOS as well

we dont have twc out here. i wish we had fiber.

i should have added that in addition to faster internet speeds, i want it all wireless.
