4/21/2009 7:08:58 PM
good grief, will you get over yourself. Peyton Manning sucks and so does Tennessee. Will Bruce Pearl ever stop embarrassing that "University" and put his shirt on. What a disgrace to college athletics.
4/21/2009 8:01:41 PM
Yeppers.
4/21/2009 8:09:05 PM

awww haha, sad but true
4/21/2009 9:52:28 PM
where does the wnba get money? do they have enough fans to support the league through sales?
4/21/2009 9:56:20 PM
but i still have so many questions
4/21/2009 10:23:16 PM
where do they get money? i mean i know they don't make a whole lot, but i'm sure they bring in barely anything. do they ride buses around or what? is there NBA revenue sharing?
4/21/2009 10:25:29 PM
Chamique Holdsclaw just came back to the league after briefly retiring. That pic is before the actual press conference took place.Chamique Holdsclaw, former UT four-time All-American, two time NPOY, and still UT men's or women's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. Played with Kellie (Jolly) Harper.
4/21/2009 10:27:52 PM
we need video of about half an hour earlier of her setting it all up by herself.
4/21/2009 10:30:36 PM
^ HAHHAHA
4/21/2009 11:00:40 PM
i'm like the other posters, where do they get any money?i know for a fact that they give away 80% of the tickets that get people in seats at games. with arena costs, traveling costs, and player costs, i can't imagine any of those teams making a dimeand really sad "press" conference btw. is it even called that if no press show up? but it can't be a conference either because only one person is there. has to be at least two people there to have a conference.
4/21/2009 11:12:56 PM
looks like a Michael Scott Paper Company press conference.
4/21/2009 11:28:19 PM
^ nagh, no huge pancakes or shaped French toast.

The average WNBA player salary is $45,000 a year. salary cap per team is $700K.
4/22/2009 8:20:10 AM
"First, I'd like to thank my aunt Quita for clearing out her dining room and making all of this possible".I guarantee that the NBA will lose more money than the WNBA this year.
4/22/2009 8:33:56 AM
4/22/2009 8:38:11 AM
^just from what i have heard and read. stuff like they give away huge amounts of tickets to boys and girls clubs and other things like that. I'm sure 80% is exaggerating a little but they do give away a large number of tickets. Not to mention the tickets they do sell are not very expensive. The tax write off thing makes sense.
4/22/2009 9:09:57 AM
bruce pearl could be one of the worst coaches in college basketball.
4/22/2009 9:13:43 AM
Aren't you a little old to be asking for autographs from college kids?
4/22/2009 10:02:25 AM
I'M OLD AND FAT...LET ME MAKE FUN OF PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES

4/22/2009 11:19:57 AM
what is wrong with autographs?
4/22/2009 11:29:19 AM
Autographs are for little kids and jock sniffersand people who sell shit on eBay
4/22/2009 11:50:02 AM
I dunno man, I think a football autographed by the players on your favorite team is pretty sweet, especially if you display it niceI plan on having a "man cave" type room one day in my house with autographed jerseys/memorabilia of my favorite players/teams on the walls. I dont think its childishnow if you wait for players to come out of a locker room or chase them down in restaurants to get an autograph, thats a little over the top, but this was an event to meet the players, big deal
4/22/2009 12:00:29 PM
I'd rather just get a picture with somebody but thats just meThe last autograph I got was an Emeka Okafor autographed basketball, but it was free with my season tickets so I took itAgreed about waiting outside of locker rooms and stuff though...thats for kids[Edited on April 22, 2009 at 12:05 PM. 4/22/2009 12:04:51 PM
........and sports enthusiasts.
4/22/2009 12:09:31 PM
I only have two autographs:1. A hat signed by Chief Knockahoma, former beloved racial stereotype. I got it when I was at a Braves game in 95.2. An 8x10 signed by Motorboat Jones, a guy who played for the WS Spirits when I was a kid. I ordered it off eBay two or three years ago.
4/22/2009 12:10:05 PM
I have a ton of autographs...that I got when I was a kidAkeem Olajuwon autographed basketball card, Chuck Daly and Jamal Wilkes signed my 1993 NBA All Star hat at AS weekend, Kevin Johnson bball card, tons of Hornetsthen I got older
4/22/2009 12:11:02 PM
the only autographs I like to get are on foul balls I catch with the glove I bring to every game
4/22/2009 12:17:14 PM
be a man and bare hand that shit little girli see those guido yankee fucks do it all the time. I stopped taking my glove about 6 years ago
4/22/2009 1:14:07 PM
mugsy bogues is my only autograph
4/22/2009 1:30:01 PM
I got Todd Fuller (fuck yeah!), Tom Brady (gift, wtf?), Wade Boggs and Eric Davis (almost 20 years ago). Maurice Jones-Drew sent a BDay card to my son on his first birthday with an 8x10, that was wayyy random - I tutored him at UCLA in 04-05.

4/22/2009 2:52:05 PM
not trolling. he's an awful coach. sweet 16 is the best he could do with the talent he had? he does more acting like a fool than coaching. he blows and UT basketball is on the downward
4/22/2009 3:08:58 PM
yes, you are trolling... 1. that talent is only there because of him to begin with2. the team was REALLY young this year3. you dont know shit about college bball if you think they are on the way down. Learn some history (look at where UT was 5 years ago... 15 years ago and tell me they are going down) and follow recruiting (class they got last year and what they have so far for this year). Also look at attendance, Ranking, RPI, etc. No clue where you got that unless you are being a complete moron and using one year vs. the next to claim a whole program is "going down"4. if I remember correctly he is either the fastest or second fastest coach in the history of college bball to win 300 games. I think Roy is ahead of him, maybe Izzo too. Yeah, hes horrible [Edited on April 22, 2009 at 3:18 PM. Reason : d]
4/22/2009 3:14:40 PM
i think bruce pearl is a blithering idiot.he's done about the best he will do, and his "talent pool" will now all swim towards the ever increasingly sketchy Calipari.[Edited on April 22, 2009 at 3:20 PM. Reason : .]
