I'm not too familiar with SID files but that's what Raleigh has for aerial imaging. I can't seem to figure out how to reference/insert a SID file with C3D 2008. Any help? Google hasn't produced much so far...

ya know, the results depend on the string you search for, and mine didn't come up with those. I was trying a different route that I found on Google and haven't gotten far. But I thank you for your efforts and will look into the links you provided.

edit: the original route (same as the second link above) finally worked - had to restart acad 3 times until it finally loaded the raster design object enabler

Argh, Civil 3D gave me such a bloody headache at my last internship. I think I might not ever have to use it again.

Kept having to come up with weird little workarounds to get certain parts of my project to not completely rape my computer.

it was great to me at work, but now it's gone to hell on my laptop.

I'm trying to create a surface and all I get is a damn line around my boundary, or a bunch of triangles outside of my boundary.

any help on creating this surface? i've got dot's 2-ft lidar topo and trying to create a surface from part of it
