I've been looking for something that was free and not nag ware or scaled back.

keep your eyes open for ESET NOD32 at 10 bucks on newegg.

AVG Free maybe.

you can get 3 licenses of trendmicro for $15 on newegg/ebay. think its 2008 with free upgrade to 2009

I'll second Avast Home Edition. You need to register within 60 days, but otherwise free.
