Is that the kid from Florida? I read on Deadspin or somewhere that he's not even the first Florida HS pitcher to throw three straight no-hitters. Big deal.

I think that this made SC top plays last night...evidently the same pitcher has 3 straight no-hitters in less than 2 weeks.

Eh, competition isn't great in that part of California. It's in the central valley near Fresno. The only thing they do there is farming, methamphetamine's and rape of white girls.[Edited on April 16, 2009 at 11:45 AM. Reason : x]

^ Thats kinda what I figured too, but the article says that one of the no-no's came at an invitational tourney, so I'd assume that tourney has decent competition.

^^How do you go four straight games without getting a hit?Says he tops out at 90 or above. He must have wicked stuff and movement to go with it. You would think in four games people would get lucky and get a bunt hit or blooper.

per cold pizza the record no hitters in a row is 6 and was made by one of the producers who played hs ball in ohio.

^^By pitching against HS kids?Still quite the feat though.

I threw 2 in a row my freshmen year of high school...it wore me out so bad that I was 0-4 the rest of the season. This kid is good.

He doesn't have exceptional stuff. ESPN.com interviewed a scout and basically said that he is a mid-round pick at best right now coming out of HS. He'll probably end up going to UF on scholly...
