You can actually make your own, save money and have better sour mix. It's basically lemon and lime juice with sugar and water.Lots of recipes online.
4/6/2009 11:55:03 PM
Can't you use lemonade/limeade concentrate from the freezer section to make your own?
4/7/2009 7:49:07 AM
did you try the abc store?or you could just suck it up and buy the 23 1-litre bottles you need
4/7/2009 4:04:04 PM
Make your own. All store-bought mixers suck.
4/7/2009 4:26:58 PM
go buy cranberry and stfu
4/7/2009 8:25:02 PM
^^^ NC ABC stores cannot sell mixers without alcohol already in them.
4/7/2009 9:33:22 PM

i usually try bar supply stores. they have a powder that just mixes with water and makes tons of sour mix. and its way better than stuff you find in stores like HT, etc.

4/7/2009 11:12:33 PM
wat
4/7/2009 11:17:46 PM
I believe it. Look closely at the mixers they sell in the ABC store and they have like 4% or so alcohol.so it must be the ABC is the state-run liquor store, they are allowed to sell alcoholic beverages only, and these "alcoholic" mixers are made to comply with the law.
4/7/2009 11:25:04 PM
^ What are you going on about?
4/7/2009 11:39:32 PM
^ The mixers sold in the ABC stores in NC have alcohol in them.
4/7/2009 11:46:43 PM
go to the restaurant supply store on s. saunders called united restaurant or something like that they have big jugs of it.
4/8/2009 1:42:23 AM
We use http://www.oceansprayfoodservice.com/products/product.aspx?id=25903-646&nid=3 at work. Go find some.
4/8/2009 1:44:36 AM
we also use ^ and it's not badbut i will always advocate making your own. get some ReaLemon and ReaLime (or a shit ton of fresh fruit if you wanna go all out), some sugar and water and you're golden. You'll save money and it'll taste much better.

I'm pretty sure NC liquor stores have to sell only things with alcohol in themall thier mixes have at least 1 percentyou get the completely virgin stuff in the grocery storesOf course, 1 percent is really going to make a difference in most drinks anyway

4/9/2009 9:47:02 AM
^Usually they get free mixers from companies but they can't sell them so they just give them away.
4/9/2009 9:52:55 AM
THERE ARE NO MIXERS IN THE ABC STORE.I agree. They all have Alcohol in them. It's retarded cause you have to go to two store to mix a damn drank! That LIT shit, full of liquor. The hurricane mixes and shit, all have liquor. I have never seen Collins mix or sour mix or any basic mixers in a NC ABC store before (sans liquor)Have you tried Total Wine or the like?[Edited on April 9, 2009 at 9:57 AM. Reason : 67]

I work for Wake County ABC. All mixers have at least 1% alcohol in them. We can not carry any product (for sale alone) that does not have at least that percentage. We can however sell "virgin" mixers that come prepackaged from brokers/distillers as a package. For example, we sell Three Olives Tomato Vodka prepackaged with non-alcoholic Bloody Mary Mix. Once you get outside of North Carolina and into "Package Stores" or privately owned businesses they can carry those items. The nearest state I can think of that is privately owned would probably be South Carolina (not 100% positive). You can buy a case of Dailey's Sour Mix from us, but your going to pay 12x 3.99/4.99, or whatever the price is per bottle. Unfortunately you do not get a discount for buying in bulk. If you haven't already bought the stuff yet, check out Bone Daddy's Mix, I believe they sell their Margarita Mix and Sour Mix in cases. As others have said, unless you can find a really good deal it would probably be cheaper/healthier to just make your own.

I tried the lemonade/limeade mix and its pretty good. Really cheap too. Thanks wolfpackgrrr
