The PA system my band currently uses at practice is the property of another band we share our studio with, so we're looking to pick up our own system in the case theirs fails or we decide to go solo on the studio rent. We've got a couple mixers and a single passive monitor, but I'd like to find a quality used power amp. Probably looking in the ballpark of ~600-800W per channel at 8 ohms.

Being that we only have the one speaker I'd like to look at a pair of SOLID passive speakers, maybe in the 300-400W rms range. While price is, of course, a concern, I'd much rather pay for quality than cheap out on some crappy equipment.
