I recently bought a scooter from Scoot Scoot on Dixie trail. Here is a picture... . If anyone has any ideas about up keep or safety please feel free to post. Also any ideas about modifications would be great as I trying to get the most out of my purchase.

I think you can just tie it to a bike rack. That's what I'd do anyway.

don't forget to join the TWW scooter club http://www.brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=540908from two years of scooter experience, my words of wisdom:- if the scooter is less that 50cc (no license on it), don't worry about a parking sticker for campus. park it at a bike rack. you CAN get a sticker, but you don't need it. - half-dome helmets are fine... don't let anyone scare you. however, get a full helmet if you're not willing to take the risk. it's a choice you have to make. - keep up the maintenance. it's less expensive than fixing stuff. - try to avoid Western during rush hours. cars will make some dangerous moves to get around you, and it's just so much easier/safer to take a side road. it will only take you an extra 5 or 10 minutes. - accept the fact that you'll look goofy, and live it.[Edited on April 11, 2009 at 9:43 PM. also, always drive to take up the full lane (drive in the middle)...driving to one side invites cars to drive around you, which is ASKING to get hit...if you drive the middle, you might piss someone off, sure, but at least they know you're there and are less likely to clip you

ah, that's true...the met now does a bit over 40mph on flat or downhill stretches, but the uphill is frustratingly slow (i've got to figure out something to do about that, actually...it's maddening)i'd probably run me over
