'99 wj with coded keys. i have the replacement keys in hand just need them cut and programed. i've had a few people say the dealer will program them for free but every dealer i talked to charges $60+ to program the key . anybody know where/how i could get a key or 2 program for less?

Walmart will cut and program them for ~ $25 if i remember right. Back when i needed a key for my jeep they didn't do that so i got raped by the dealer for around $100.

http://www.wjjeeps.com/sentry.htmThis might be easier to read than ^. As long as you have 2 programmed keys, you can program the 3rd (up to 8 I think) on your own. In that case, just get them cut anywhere and do it yourself. If you only have one programmed key, I'd just say go to the dealership. A lot of times they'll cut the key for free, but charge you for programming.

yeah, but before i didn't even have one working remotesome sources online say you can do it w/ a working remote, but i didn't think that was truenow it's confirmed. i appreciate it.
