Some anime voice actor groped a bunch of women, including some very young ones. He got #metoo'd. That would have been the end of it, but a couple of scam artists with law degrees and a podcast convinced the anime guy to sue his accusers.

Someone told TGD about it and TGD pointed out that the anime guy and the scam artists were idiots, which caused eleventy thousand incel neckbeard anime fans* to launch a months-long, concerted effort to defame TGD and trumpet the cause of their guy. Meanwhile their side has been thrashed in court and generally humiliated in every arena yet encountered, but it doesn't seem to slow them down.

*-This isn't to say all anime fans are incel neckbeards, but this particular set definitely is.
