Can someone reccomend me a good alarm clock program. preferably one with an extensive calendar that will allow me to use any mp3 as an alarm. I hate the one on my phone. This has been a big business presentation.

I typically use the foxytunes ext. for firefox that is compatible with most media players...doesn't have good calendar/scheduling type stuff though.

I like alarm clocks that don't use 150 watts when idle.

i haven't had a computer in my bedroom in years but that mac program looks pretty nice. regular alarm clocks ftwi have a GE one that ive been using for 10+ years. dual alarms, and difficult to accidentally turn off in your sleep (have to hold the off button down for 5 seconds to disable)

your computer uses like 5 watts when sleepingif you have a problem with that, you're way too anal about your power bill.

can't it wake from hibernate too? that's essentially offI used to do it for a while but alarm clock is simpler and my computer is far away so i had to crank the volume so much that it was liable to wake others as well

um, nohibernation IS off. it just saves a copy of whatever's in ram at that time to your hard drive and restores it on boot.

depends on the implementation. some machines use a bit of ram to keep your memory in an active state (since your ram isnt NVRAM). try hibernating your laptop and then pull the battery. that's the difference between machines that hibernate real fast and ones that take a good minute or so

why not just set scheduled tasks in xp? set the task as the mp3 you want to hear. you can set as many as you like
