Just getting an idea of where TWW stands with Solidworks usage

ALL DAY EVERY DAY, for me
2009 SP2.0, 32-bit (core 2 quad, nvidia quadro 3500...well, before it's memory shit the bed)

For those of you using 2009, hows it going?

[note, I understand this thread will probably get little play]

Absolutely the best of the lesser cad systems.

we just upgraded to 2009 after being stuck on 2006 for a while. But atleast it's not as bad as MS Office where were running Office 97.

I use it occasionally for weldments and sheet metal stuff. Our co-op's and New Product Engineering group use it daily, but I'm mostly in AutoCad all day.

After using AutoCAD 06-09 at work, I still find myself yearning what little Solidworks I learned from NCSU.

I use it probably a day or so worth of work a week. Also have to use ProE and Catia bc of automotive companies always using those two

^heh, damn.

FWIW, 2009 is buggy as hell, and I've had to deal with many annoyances... like the new custom properties feature going blank, weight calculations being off, shitty weldment cut-list performance.
